I had a feeling console players weren’t going to like it.. I’ve yet to try it myself, but I’ll do that in a hour or so then provide my first impressions feedback, after that I’ll toy around with it for a week or two and see if my first impressions have changed.

Varglets were added to make Abigail no longer be as Useful in Hound waves without needing to buff her with potions or assist her.

here’s a clip of Abby who was at full health before these two guys showed up going poof, for all those players who kept crying for Wendy Nerfs.

They look adorable, but they’ve also significantly reduced Wendy’s ability to avoid hound waves, hopefully if I apply some potion buffs to Abby & actually help her with killing them she won’t Die next time.

It's half nice half meh for me. Very needed bugfixes, cloud saves, new AG fight and more world settings are pretty cool. As for the crafting UI... I understand and like the idea of filters but the execution of it feels just annoying and unpolished. Excessive clicking galore and navigating through the tons of filters takes up so much time. I literally just put all recipes I need more often into favourites and thats the only filter I use, I just craft everything from one giant register and still am faster than by using the designated filters. I certainly gives things some kind of order, but the execution is painfully slow. It used to be "Open, scroll, craft", while now it is "open, select, scroll, select, select AGAIN to craft, close". The pinned recipes are nice, but don't make up for the time you need for the other 95% to craft. It would be a great win, if Klei would find a way to speed up that process somehow.

 

Also... did Deerclops always have the attention span of a fecking peanut while following you? Maybe I'm imagining things, but after three hits, he remembers he forgot his car keys and walks back to his spawn right now...

yep, so annoying and happens something similar with AG

Honestly most of the content is a great change

Crafting Ui is still a bugger for me though

I would rather have 20 crafting tabs on the old UI than what we have now.
or even have a tab toggle to switch between 2 of the same sized older ui
everything would still be the same and you can still have the specific tabs that they implemented thus making it not so cluttered

i liked everything except the new craft table, dude is so bad, i'm used to craft everything by keyboard and now i've to navigate to each section using the mouse and the UI is giant covering half the screen, i got hit by spiders two times cus i was not seeing them but after marking every item that i like as favorite it become less annoying but it's still bad cus i need to do every time that i play in a new world and for some reason, walking with the UI open lags my game... if i could choose i would go for the old one but since i can't i'll have to deal it. 

The wolfgang updates and other changes were awesome as expected, skins are beuatifull and bug fixes were super fast, klei always doing great job. 

Its really good, IK a lot of ppl arent ok with the Crafting UI but honestly its worth swapping to this new one. The new changes are also awesome. The Gothic skins are insanely cool and OMG DUDE A SCIENCE MACHINE SKIN A FRICKING SCIENCE MACHINE SKIN FINALLY THE TERRIBLE OOZE MACHINE IS SO OUT OF PLACE TYSM KLEI YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH THIS MEANS TO ME KLEI! (Now make alarming clock skin)

Love the new crafting recipies (cobblestones arent a post year one privelige anymore, why did they need WOOD anyways???)

crafting from chests should have always been a thing its much more convienient 

varglets make hound waves not a pain in the neck to fight now

ancient gaurdian is one of the best fights in the game now

The new UI is great the only PC players ive seen complain are people who have been playing since the dawn of man and are to lazy to try the new one, althought it does look terrible for controller players and they should look into that

as for wolfgang they should try going back to damage taken tied to mightyness

as of right now hes basically just old wolfgang with extra steps and while definetly much  better he still isnt really in a satisfying posistion right now

why are you so excited for an item that gets used for like 3 days in a world then never again lol

I haven’t fought the new version of him yet I’m an Xbox player & im still trying to get use to the New UI with an Xbox controller.

It doesn’t look terrible on controller, it is terrible on controller, things like refining ANYTHING are now much slower then they used to be, Boards, Cutstone, Ropes, Gems- Sure I guess I could favorite those things and then unfavorite when I don’t need them, but.. I think the entire Refining Tab should be quickly accessible like it used to be with the old UI. I’ve suggested a few ways I felt New UI could be better supported on Xbox Controllers, so here’s to hoping Klei will make a few adjustments to it to iron out the kinks.

As for Wolfgang’s Might being tied to getting hit… this feature was changed before it ever left beta, so as a console player I never got to try it for myself, which is a shame because it sounds like a unique mechanic to reward Wolfgang players with not getting hit. Maybe they felt it was to close to Wanda? Where she gets more powerful to closer to death she is, but you want to avoid getting hit to reap those rewards?

As far as Varglets go.. I thought only ONE was supposed to spawn per hound wave, I ended up getting TWO and they both proceeded to quickly destroy Abigail, are Two Varglets intended or is this a bug?
