Will you be planning chest storage differently now that upcoming QOL allows container crafting?

I'll be making a scaled chest with materials for all tools (3xtwigs/2xgrass/2xstone/3xgold/flint/silk), one for weatherpain crafting (mats for 1 slot gears, 1 horns, rest feathers). I also got a chest next to pseudoscience station with greens/yellows/oranges, 1 stack of fuel, 1 of living logs, rest thulecite which allows for most crafts.

What other setups for container crafting will you be using?

100%  idk how other people sort, but eventually I end up with chests of just 1 thing like all gold, all stone, all flint, all nm fuel.  Now I'm going to organize to have combination chests.  Grass, sticks and gold for tools.  Nm fuel, logs and papers for dark swords and night armors.  Grass / ropes / wraps, etc.  At least on the front line, after a few common combination chests are set up overflow inventory will probably be 1item/1chest as before, but it won't be touched except to fill up the front end.

A chest filled with most common materials for general use right next to a alchemy. I will also organize stuff according to what recipes they make and what I often use. Like silk, hound teeth and logs being in the same chest for sewing kits.

I think in particular I’ll probably setup something near the pseudo station (due to mostly using the construction amulet, which prevents backpack usage) and probably using chester as a way to bring structure mats without having to take them out of his inventory as often.

Absolutely nothing will be changing for me, I organize my chests as if we could've crafted like this from the get-go, call it muscle memory from Terraria. I rarely make a chest for one type of item since not only do I not expect to fill it, I rarely see anyone else do so either (fill the chest that is, tons of empty chests litter other public/player worlds from my experience).

So yeah, items used in magic crafting will remain in chests by my magic crafting station(s), basic supplies in others, etc.

Well I usualy have spare klaus sacks around the world with all basic materials so I just pick it up and craft tools or whatever I need, so I think I will keep storage system as I used to.

It's only for one chest that is opened nearby a station right? Or is there a sort of AOE range where multiple chests can be considered for crafting?

I'll probably make a few toolkit chests in specific spots where I need them to be. Like where I plant entire forests I'll have an axe chest and a shovel chest but I have kinda already set my storage habbits in stone and the work it would take to ''unlearn'' that to take full advantage of this update is too big for me when I already have a working system.  Unless it works in an aoe and the chests don't need to be opened, then I'm gonna go wild with it.

unfortunately it's not aoe but i can see why not - people would start overcrowding 20x chests/ scaled chests in a square to get their content and it would look ugly asf
