Ability to disable new mouse input (or removal of it).

I see no situation in which I'll ever want to hold left click to automatically waste all of my ice stave's durability and get hit because it keeps swapping to the closest target instead of freezing who I'm explicitly clicking on, and I don't think I'll ever want to immediately try grabbing my lantern because my pickaxe broke or grabbing nitre as soon as it drops so I can then drop it out of my pockets. If I want to fight whatever is closest to me I press F and if I want to grab whatever is closest to me I press space. The mouse is for clicking on specific things because I want to do a specific action.

Found another weird oddity. I had to fuel a fire one log at a time because if I held the button down Wolfgang would decide that he doesn't actually need that fire and could beat Klaus to death with a walking cane before it burned out.

We would rather not add an option to turn it off right now. It is still being worked on throughout the beta and continuing to provide us with feedback about issues it is causing should allow us to get it feeling good, ideally to the point where it just works and feels natural.

The main issues with it are it swapping targets or what you're doing. It wouldn't be so bad if I held m1 on a dropped item to grab other dropped items (even if I can't see myself doing that) but the way it will automatically transition between unrelated actions like smashing or fueling into grabbing or fighting is extremely annoying. It also has been causing a weird issue where it seems to not want to attack enemies at all.

Latest patch notes day it won't retarget enemies so I'm thankful for that, a step in the right direction.

i hope it gets an option to turn it off after the beta is over because the way it is now is just annoying for players which don't like actions to be done randomly and automatically :blue:

It's acting like a space bar and as the attack key at times when the player doesn't intend for it. Here's an example where all I did was hold down M1 to cook my meat and my character decides that it's time to auto-harvest everything close by:

Here's an example where it refuses to change targets:
