Some sounds in the game are obnoxiously loud (I'm looking at you insanity sound and stars), some sounds you can barely hear at times. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Onidotmoe Posted April 3, 2021 Share Posted April 3, 2021 The telelocator focus gemsocket's sound stacks, for each socket with a gem they'll all play the same sound and the intensity stacks up, it's pretty bad even from a distance. Frosty_Mentos Posted April 4, 2021 Share Posted April 4, 2021 I kinda don't like how literally any farming action at the farm plots starts playing music xD I'd prefer less of it, but I guess I can also mute music in general while so. ---------------- There's the thing about sailing music, is that compared to Farming music is that you can barely hear the sailing one and only times it ever turns on is when you use an oar or just take off sailing. It stops continuing after like 10 seconds. ---------------- Overall sound level is too high on everything in the game. It's not big of a problem cause I can just lower it all down to level 3 and be comfortable with that stuff, but any higher and my eardrums bleed. Onidotmoe Posted April 5, 2021 Share Posted April 5, 2021 The music that plays when attacked by those light Gestalt things is loud and they attack you like once then retreat not to be seen until they attack you again in a few more seconds after the music has stopped. Might be best to make a mod for it and simply change the mixes. For the more specific ideas, I am reminded of the Sealnado wind from Shipwrecked, which has its own custom category. It's a bit more effort to implement and might require a rewrite of the settings backend, but I believe to an accustomed developer the only significant difficulty would be to find good default values for all the possible mixes (e.g. what if the player hits Escape, or is getting slurped by a Slurper?)
