I have six DS fanfics on my ao3 as of 04/11/2020, and I'm in the process of writing one more right now. https://archiveofourown.org/users/Blueleaf12 Wilson at Maxwell, based on that one meme from the Misadvantures of Flapjack Wigfrid and Wendy, based on my friend and I playing together Winona in a work jumper from the mid 1910s. Charlie in a Victorian dress I got in Animal Crossing New Horizons Willow and Wendy. My friend told me to take some DST characters and make new outfits based on what I had in the curio shop. She suggested Willow and Wendy, two of her mains I did Wilson and Woodie for myself, two of my mains I have two OCS: Wynne is an Australian Victorian doctor in the late 1900s. She's meant to be more of a healing character, since DST doesn't have any explicit healing characters really. My other OC is Lucille, my take on Lucy the Axe from two (soon to be three) of my fics on Ao3 Edited April 12, 2020 by Blueleaf12 Figured out how uploading pictures worked. Blueleaf12 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Share Posted April 18, 2020 Soooooo I got bored while in quarantine and decided "Hey, I wonder if the Wagner Ring Cycle, the German Opera Wigfrid is based off of, is on Youtube with English subs?" and lo and behold, there's a production from the 80s with English subs I've been watching. I wanted to draw Wigfrid in the costume aesthetic that they had the gods in just for fun. Dunno why they look kinda baroque, but it slaps, so it's fine. I'm not sure if the block has completely passed, but I do have some new art! I drew Queen Charlie based on an old dress I redesigned from when I was like six years old. I already thought it gave me Queen Charlie vibes before I added DS motifs. I hope you like it! The redrawn dress design Queen Charlie! Thank you!! I flip flop through traditional and digital a lot, so it kinda depends on my mood what I do. Wynne's triumphant skin is based on dress styles from 1905 or so. I used Google to sort of mix and match dress designs from the time period to make both. Sometimes you have to have Evil Pinstripes, as a treat. It was fun showing off more of Wynne's feminine side with her Roseate skin. I guess Lucille has a 50s vibe in general and went with two different aesthetics. Her Roseate skin is based on Woodie's Roseate skin, cause I wanted them to match. WYNNE: THE PRACTITIONER Hunger: 120 Health: 75 Sanity: 150-200 [haven't decided] Perks: -An exceptional healer and can see other players hp without additional mods. I haven't decided exactly what this entails, but likely faster and more efficient healing -Frail and diabetic [might scrap the diabetic thing] -Can stand the heat [50 base insulation against the heat, similar to Woodie's beard insulation in the cold] -Monsters don't scare her [0.6x sanity drain with monsters only, darkness insanity is the base] Wynne is a Victorian nurse from Australia, so I tried to give her some Aussie traits. The diabetic perk was to make her also harder to manage, similar to Warly's crockpot perk. So you have to mostly rely on crockpot foods, insulin from pigs, etc. Low glucose would make her pass out for some time, worse than a pan flute, and decrease her hunger a lot. Too high glucose makes her sluggish and decreases her sanity a lot. I've been on the fence about her diabetic perk though because it seems kinda difficult to manage and is maybe Too Much, but idk So she's supposed to play as a healing class, but different from Wortox. While Wortox can facetank and heal with souls, she's more of a behind the scenes healer class that'd rely on other players to protect her. She starts with a bone saw for a weapon to start, and a scalpel with infinite durability if she remains diabetic. Her voice would be a pipe organ. LUCILLE: THE AXE Health: 175 Hunger: 150 Sanity: 100 PERKS: -Has her own lovely axe; chops trees twice as fast as other characters, but slower than Woodie -Gains sanity from chopping trees [not sure by how much] -1.5x insanity modifier, like Wilba -Retains Woodie's higher percent chance of spawning a treeguard -In a 4x4 [maybe?] pitchfork tile area, you can use a lot of hunger [also not sure how much, maybe 50?] to flatten trees in a given area for a lot of wood and sanity. She would speak in her usual red text, with a slightly different and more bearable musical saw voice. I'm not a musician so I can't give examples unfortunately. She'd essentially play as a version of Woodie without his transformations, but you're still struggling a lot with sanity. I've been seriously considering to make Wynne a modded character, but I have no idea how to animate or code, so I think she's just gonna be a fan character for now. I'm also not a game designer by any means, so I have no idea if these perks are really balanced. I guesstimated she is 60-70 years old, and if she was pulled into the Constant in 1910, that would make her birth year between 1840 and 1850. I aged her up a bit to 1860-1870 for the design. I kept some of the elements from her skin, but also threw in some of my own designs. Again, I took some stuff from google and frankensteined the outfit together. Blueleaf12 Posted May 29, 2020 Author Share Posted May 29, 2020 Coloured the picture of young Wickerbottom I was really expecting her to have black hair, so that her unimplemented skin has brown/ginger hair was a welcome surprise!
