Just a small lore question: is wormwood a treeguard?

- He has a close relationship with plants, because of that, he hates when things hurts plants, just like treeguards.

- His face is very similar to palm treeguards from shipwrecked

I know its a very lazy made post, Im sorry

He’s probably in the same family, but just not the same kind of tree. There probably is something specifically special about him though, with what looks like a green gem inside his torso.

Damn, didnt see that

I don't think he is a treeguard or any other creature we know of, considering he is called "The Lonesome", which suggests he's one of a kind.

Like a extinct plant? Oh...

He is groot, obviously, or some kinda relative, lost in the Constant.

Hmmmm

not really... here what we know so far:

- he seems to be somehow related to the (pig) ruins (he spawns surrounded by ruins walls.)  OR Maybe even transported via portal (walls maybe a representation of a portal)

- he is probably more like a symbiosis between a living log and a green gem (green gem is his heart)

latest?cb=20130626123307 “Looks familiar...” –Wormwood

latest?cb=20130314185439 “Friend. Nice friend” –Wormwood

- he has a very strong connection with the Mants... He is the only character that knows their name in their own language --- “Chr'ik?”

My theories about his origin are more or less like this:

  • he was probably created by a Mant-like civilization in the High Mants ruins before they left Hamlet to travel to the Ruins in the Constant. The only remnant from that group is the Ancient Herald.
  • or he has created in the ruins in the constant and he was sent away via portal to Hamlet

Ha! Noted! Nice observation!

Considering Forge added a new gem , which is propably more purer red gem ( notice you summon fire and meteors with the staff )

it wouldn't be a long shot that Woodworm is actually infused with Green Gem+ which allows living things to summon from mere plants ( potentially similiar to the fallen Moon's

What do you mean they added a new gem?

Is it actually a new gem, or is it the colorcubes making it look new?

For example, the "green" healing flowers in the Forge are actually a Cyan blue.
