Asking for fire immunity is meaningless

And I already explained why it should be readded, you didn't address those points at all.

Because it was in the base game, and the reason it was removed didn't change anything so it should be added back in.

Lemme level with you, it's been out of the game for almost three years now.

Honestly I don't want sloppy seconds from base game, and because it hasn't been in the game for so long, and Willow has been rebuilt to accommodate those changes I honestly see no point.

There are plenty of uses for Immunity, especially combat uses. It's honestly very worrying to see so many people flat out not acknowledge counter-arguments.

Image result for you keep using that word

Please, go read some threads before you dive into an argument.

I refuse to do that because this is starting to feel like Warbucks all over again. :wilson_curious:

Also, what are you on about, I have specifically stated before that I like the new Bernie changes.

Sorry I got my wires crossed. :wilson_drool:

It was removed as part of an attempt to quell griefing, which it failed to do. So no, you're completely wrong on that. I mean I literally said that in my original post but I guess you didn't see that.

I wouldn't call a main perk from the base game "sloppy seconds" especially considering how it's a key component to Willow's character in DS.

This seems like a cop-out (no offense), you shouldn't be afraid to do some more research on the topic and get the best informed opinion as a result.

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are uninformed?

Damn.

Mr.Mulk, I do not believe you have convinced anyone of anything including yourself. Like, have you learned anything from arguing these past few days? Or did you stick to the same argument the entire time? You know what you are saying is pointless when they have not taught anything and have not learned anything.

I have seen what he has to offer and everything makes sense to me. You sure it isn't a *you* problem?

You're making a lot of assumptions there pal. And to think you accused me of making assuptions.

No, I'm saying that before you make an argument on the forums it's usually a good idea to consider other posts in your discussions.

And you may not be convinced of anything but I mean:

So please, instead of focusing on trying to tear me down instead make a good informed argument.

Oh would you look at that. Everything one can wish for our beloved Willow. Sanity and immunity. All in game already. And since it requires a boss fight it’s well balanced. So why don’t we focus something more interesting for her than something you can already achieve. That was the whole point of this thread.

The point is that it existed already for Willow, and was a perk that got removed for a purpose that it didn't help, so it should be readded.

Saying Scalemail is identical to Willow's fire immunity is also incorrect. Scalemail has durability, requires raid boss materials to craft, and sets enemies on fire on taking damage (which could actually be very detrimental).

This post just, reeks of arrogance. You assumed everyone you disagree with is uninformed which is an unhealthy way of thinking.

[Flexes internet points]

That's pretty low

The real reason people back away from arguing is because you are so dam persistent with the same stuff.

It's annoying.

I just want you to chill out on the ego and have an open mind.

Lord knows I was wrong thinking I could do that.

I'm not the one throwing insults, nor am I "flexing internet points" I merely provided evidence that people have taken what I've said into consideration.

I would appreciate if you read what I post, I've stated people on both sides of the issue need to do some research, including on the forums. I do not immediately assume people who disagree with me are uninformed unless they give me reason to show they haven't done their research.

Again this just seems like you trying to tear me down instead of making a good argument, I'm halfway tempted to request a moderator come and check this out.

Firstly, I didn’t understand how fire immunity would work if you don’t set enemies on fire.

And your argument has obviously some points, but I really don’t think giving her fire immunity would change much. Plus it will open arguments like “oH wiLLoW is oP” which is more meaningless. If they give her immunity fine, if they don’t give, also fine, but honestly it does not worth the effort.

Giving her fire immunity would fundamentally change how players approach the character and their environments. Six seconds of immunity isn’t enough, and I think asking “when does the player actually need to worry about fire damage?” is a valid response to that brief immunity because of how brief fire immunity doesn’t allow players to properly utilize fire as a means to damage mobs and quickly gain sanity/warmth.

Dealing damage by setting enemies on fire and dealing damage by leading a mob to a burning item/structure are two different things. Setting an enemy on fire risks them dropping ash instead of their loot, while damaging an enemy by having them stand on a burning item/structure does not, and aids a lot in dps to boot.

Oh, and that’s another thing about scaled armour. Yes, it gives you fire immunity, which allows Willow to stand directly on a burning tree to quickly gain sanity and warmth, but it falls short when used in combat because it sets enemies on fire upon them damaging you. That’s not even getting into the fact its a boss drop and is a piece of armour with durability.

Be honest are you trolling right now?

Despite my disappointment I'm just happy I get to talk about Willow more.

No! Why would I? It would only make my argument less reliable and pointless. I really really do not think making her immune to fire changes the game the slightest. So far I haven’t gotten any satisfying answer to neither  why Willow should have fire immunity  nor why shouldn’t. This is why I say asking for it is not so meaningful.

who want hug burning tree? ...or swimming in the lava pond with immunity to fire forever? Okay then.

To be fair, this would be a really useful superpower to have if you investigate volcanoes and eruptions. Might be unnecessary, but cool nonetheless.

Is on one side of the argument.

Respects the other side of the argument.
