Like, on a very serious note, I tend to use the shoulders and breasts as the base of a body and draw from there, but not everything has breasts so now im tearing myself apart trying to learn anatomy when I thought I had a general idea. (Also the reason why I have this habit is because I used to draw a character a lot, and I mean a lot, and she had big breasts. It's more innocent than it sounds, I swear) So uh, tips on anatomy while I spend the next week looking at guides? You might be able to adapt your old technique to drawing different characters using Andrew Loomis' "Cape" technique. Spoiler Men's pecs do have some volume. He has an even simpler framework that you can use: Spoiler You can build up the character's volume on this simplified skeleton. You can find Loomis' whole book as a free PDF online: https://archive.org/details/loomis_FIGURE_draw It's a bit older (published in the late 1940s I think), but so many newer books use the same techniques anyway. Here's my thing for the next klei art stream: The Horror Hound I decided to contribute to the art stream this week because I had nothing better to do. Disregard the fact that I have 0 clue how to draw blood. Or Woodie. Edit: I made some changes the morning after I made this, because half-asleep me sucks at drawing. -The blood no longer looks like gushers -Woodie's arm isn't bent anymore, because that's not how arms work. -The Horror Hound at the bottom now has proper shading in it's fur. -Woodie's arm and face has been given slight shading.
