Hi i cant read what the screen shot says , but it looks like your RAM is at max... What is the System RAM  8 GB?

When  i start ONI my RAM usage goes from 5 GB to 10 GB in use. Worst i saw was after a 6 hour session my RAM was maxed out at 15.8 GB in use and the system commit was a whopping 19 + GB RAM being used...ONI does NOT like to give RAM back ....lol

OHH and by the way Never ever load a save after the first load, always fully exit. Want to test it. load the same save about 8 times windows will complain and drop you to the desktop.

Intresting...Here is a screnshot ..procexp_D3stOGMXA4.thumb.png.fcf0be107561311aa0d33e327c1f9aa3.png

First spike is for reference Reloaded game. Load save, keep loading that save without Exit and Takes the RAM to a max of 15.8 GB used...In the upper graph the System commit is at 22.8 This is on WIN 7.

Mhh i am on win 7 Home Premium too and you are right, did the same thing and every load uses + 0,4 - 0,6 GB of ram..

Head to BIOS and see if you can turn off Hyper Threading. That might buy you a bit. Can't do much about low RAM problems though, perhaps time for an upgrade?  Also i think this game is perhaps more memory ACCESS intensive than actual computation. Double check your motherboard (and ram sticks) supports dual-channel, and that it's actually effectively in dual-channel mode.

I've got 20gb of RAM and usually sit around the 10GB used while running ONI.   Of course, I also have a virtual machine running. I should do some system tests with the virtual machine shut down.  Anyway...  I've also never had a problem with ONI crashing after multiple reloads. In fact, I haven't noticed any memory creep while playing ONI since the first Thermal update hit. Time to test...

...

OK, started up my game without the VM running.  I'm sitting at 8gb (40%) used.  Running at 60fps -- I have it limited to the screen's refresh rate.  Scrolling out so I can see the entire map at once, I get 40fps.  After reloading the same save 10 times, memory usage increased to 12.8gb (65%) -- so there definitely is some memory creep again.  It appears to be about 400-500mb per re-load of that particular save.  Exiting the game releases all memory ONI was using.  Someone ought to write up a bug report about it.

I've noticed the memory leaks myself. Thankfully ONI is fast on the load so quitting to desktop before load is not a big deal (yet). Besides, when bases are big, and lots of memory used, it's a time saver to quit (and restart oni + load) than to exit to main menu and then load.

I am getting low FPS and any of my cores are at 100%. GPU is at 25%. Does someone have the same problem?

PD: I have already sent a ticket to support, waiting for response.

You say, your CPU is at 100%? At your screen it states its at 35%, and the cores are not even at max. Core 3 has high load, but the rest is more or less waiting. And the problem seems to be not the CPU (for comparison, i use the same architecture, but as an i5 without hyperthreading, and it runs fine). Your problem is, your RAM is at max. Now the system starts swapping, using the harddrive as a buffer. But this is way, way, wayyyyyy slower than your RAM. This means, your system is at maximum level, and everyhing is waiting for the data from the hardrive.

2 possible solutions here: Upgrade RAM to 16GB, and you will have a huge performance-boost, because the CPU can finally do its work. Other solution, that may help at least a bit: Close ohter programs, for example your browser, to make more RAM availlable. But as others told you already, ONI may use 12GB of RAM. So your bottleneck will apperar again.

You can see the ram usage (82 %) and disc usage 0%, your reasoning does not make sense.

If you have the pagefile enabled, 82 percent doesn't tell us very much.

Personally, I get 45 to 60 fps when first loading, and 10 to 15 after a few hours which a reload fixes. But that doesn't seem to be your problem.

Have not been suddenly FPS drops, it is 60 when I started a new colony, going down slowly as the colony got bigger, to the 20 FPS i have right now.
Time does not make it worse.
