Stealing is Awesome!

Stealing is awesome!  I stole 9 security contracts, left Pig City Hall and Krampus was asleep.  Killed, him, but didn't get the sack.   Just a couple of coal, which is what I deserved, I guess.  

Regardless of the fact that I usually play Wickerbottom, I think Wilson lacks a moral compass, which is part of the way we all got into this mess to begin with -- he did build the portal.  Maxwell obviously lacks a moral compass.     So, stealing seems an appropriate option in any DS or DLC.

i did the killing. so the shop owner doesn't respawn? that kinda sucks and makes it way too easy.

 

i can go and loot the deli of all the awesome crockpot dishes every day. and i just did the same to the guy who owns the academy which let me loot 30 oincs every day.

 

i don't mind that this is in the game. it should be rewarding that you clear out 2 guards indoors and then murder the owner, but the game should replace the shop owner after 4 days (just like how pigs usually respawn) and return the shops functionality to how it used to be.

 

alternatively a store could stay forever empty and abandoned and punish the player this way.

 

 

if neither of this gets implemented players could setup random item spawn farms. once you have the key to the city, build as many stores of the type of items you want to get for free and clear them out.

I tried to loot crockpot dishes, but she wouldn't let me, or I didn't figure out how.  Was in the shop at dusk and she wanted to close up at night.  She kept waiting for me to leave.  Maybe I wasn't patient enough.

Forcing the mayor asleep sounds like a better option than just having him fall asleep on his own every night.  Means I have to do some work to get what I want without paying for it.

you have a little miss understanding of Wilba
she will steal [ grass - twigs - berries - flowers - redish - plants from farms ]
any item on stands will show " Buy ".
you can still steal if you kill the owner or sleep them

what do you mean with sleep them? Is it possible to force them to sleep?

Using a Pan Flute or Sleep Dart, or by eating a Mandrake  or or Wickerbottom 's book . then can be stealing.
