It's less of a concern than the heat issue but still something that could potentially cause extinction before the player reaches them. Wait, things can get thrown off the edge of the map? Dupes can walk around eggs should fly there as well. PhailRaptor
...shouldn't they just come back on from the other side? Hasn't it been confirmed that, if there is no Neutroneum in the way, the map has edge wrapping? Haven't seen any new updates or patches to fix this problem. Good question. Well, it is not quite a bug, so I did not file a bug report. Also wanted some feedback on the observation (thanks!). If they read this forum here, they should be aware. No idea whether they do. I just put in a bug-report referencing this thread to be sure: Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/96260-space-too-hot-for-shove-vole/page/2/#findComment-1092422 Share on other sites

When I finally got to digging them out all I got was meat All dead. Similar situation. New game on the preview, cycle 126 made it to the surface and saw about half a dozen voles. Checked their temperature and they were 28.5C with 200+C regolith in the area. Two cycles later when I got to them half were dead and the remaining were 180+C (death at 200C). Since you can't wrangle them there is nothing that can be done in time to save them.
