I don't understand your question. Klei always says the truth, obviously, otherwise why would they have the potato cup ? This symbol itself is the proof. I don't know the proof of what, but it doesn't matter. There is nothing to see, so i see nothing. Which isn't very convenient to type something on a keyboard i must say.

I was ready to wait until December, since it's not too far away. If it was released this month though, I wouldn't be able to play it as much because of university T-T

Well, it's not the same missing beta and missing final release. If it could be of any help, if you miss the beta you'll discover the game in a more cleaner and playable stage, so it has its good points.

Also, totally possible that if there is a beta it's only for some people and you wouldn't had access to it anyway.

Nah, mods have some privileges, I'd prob get access to it, but it wouldn't really be good for Klei if I can't playtest it.

i just hope the new halloween event and the hamlet beta dont split the community this is my first halloween and hamlets coming?
i just cant decide which to play (well i guess hamlet is permanent content yet the new content from hamlet doesnt want me to play dst)

Based on that image the registration period begins on October 10th, not necessarily the Beta. Beta would likely begin later and once a certain number candidates are chosen (I say chosen but Klei typically does first come first serve). The likelihood of this being a fake image is extremely unlikely. The fact that there were 3 shown posts makes it pretty creditable. They really only needed to show one to get the point across.

In the screenshot itself there were three posts shown. One that needed to be registered, one with lorem ipsum, and one that was already registered. It very much appeared to be in progress and more of a testing site if anything. It would have to be an incredibly thought out ruse to the point where I find it extremely unlikely.

That makes it clear, thanks! I thought that you meant 3 posts here on the forums.

I think that beta would begin on 10th however. On the picture we can see both "starts on 10th October" and "registered". If the registration would begin at that time and not the beta itself, the text would say that. 

But since it's just a leak that appears to be a mistake and not intended, I don't really believe anything will be released on that day until we get more info. We'll see it on wednesday (or thursday, because of time zones...)
