fully automated ranch setup

External size 20x16, like 4. Sheets of 16 cells in length
pneumatic doors at the top, under which there are no conveyor rails, just to fill the excess space
but in the doorway, under which there are rails, it is exactly what happens all the magic
the left upper loader sends the right eggs (the ones we bring up), the right upper loader for the wrong eggs

So, the right eggs first fill the left circle of the rail, then the right one, and if there are extra ones they go with the wrong ones to the death room where they will wait for the incubation and the flood
When the eggs are on the rails under the doors, they do not lose vitality and at the same time they are not in the room, and pets do not receive a debuff for breeding

The number of "spare" eggs is determined by the long loop of the rails
When the egg is ready, the child with the shell just falls through the doors to the room

The main problem was that on the loop of the rail there were old eggs with a large percentage of incubation, and not replaced with new ones, which I realized

How would we know this?  You gave no description to indelicate the eggs are regulated

All we have are pictures of a drecko farm with so little H2 there is very little chance the drecko's scales will grow back at a rate that would make the ranch worth it

also what is the purpose of the glass tiles?

doubt it, he's making a lot of assumptions while playing in debug mode like...

dreckos can eat mealwood in planter boxes

sweeper arms can work though glass tiles

well I had manipulated with mechanic arms and timers so I have at least 8 eggs ready to hatch (outside of main stable) and the others being sent to be cooked. Only I had for some reason a problem that my dupes didn't want to transport hatchlings, only grown ones (ofc I set ticker for them to be transportable in critter drop (it was in EU, now it seems to be fixed). And I didn't implement slaughter machine.
Would be able to show it if needed later.

P.S. still waiting for the option to make a queues so I don't need to build few egg crackers to handle separate egg types (there was a mod though, didn't work for me)

can i see it?

Are we sure they don't hatch on rails? People said this last time I posted my auto hatch farm and it clearly did work. I believe the trick was they hatched in a rail loop but not on a single path. Like the bridge causes them to update status maybe? I haven't gotten to that point yet on my rocketry base but It was working in EU.

Now that I look at it, it is clunky as hell :D

All eggs are transported to the container, then arms picks them. After that it either drops eggs with the help of timers (arm should be active for 3-4 secs approximately for it to get the egg, but not have enough time to put it in loader) OR it puts in loader if there are 8 or more eggs (left button)

Right button operates doors in a way that if hatch steps on it, it closes left door instantly and opens right one (keeping it open for app. 5 seconds (and turns on access for dupes, but you actually don't even need this one)

P.S.one more arm to collect egg shells
