I have a few ideas. I haven't been this into a game since high school lol. They make you work for the story lol. William Carter ( Maxwell ) somewhere in 20th Century went to USA , a train almost killed him , codex umbra ( da shadow book ) saved his life , he started performing as THE AMAZING MAXWELL with Charlie then at one act codex umbra kidnaps them into don't starve , charlie becomes darkness and maxwell is on the shadow throne , wilson dies a lot until unlocks maxwell then some 3~ days wilson is on throne and Charlie frees him ,then tadda her shadow form fight with he human form until they merge together and start A New Reign , Wilson and Max build the old portal and Charlie replaces it with her one, she kidnaps her sister Winona into the world, then after wilson and deez other non-important-characters bruttally murder one of Ancient bug remains in atrium the Gate 360 noscopes them into Forge. Karmattack Posted June 4, 2018 Share Posted June 4, 2018 Yeah, the basic outline is Maxwell uses Codex Umbra for his stage magic but it's really magic and it kidnaps him and his assistant Charlie to The Constant. The shadows there put him on the Nightmare Throne, where he can control the world but never leave. Maxwell lures other people to The Constant through a certain model of radio in order to mess with them. Wilson is one such person, tricked into making a portal to the Constant. Wilson survives Adventure Mode and finds Maxwell on the Shadow Throne and frees him, but is trapped himself. Charlie releases him from the Throne to take it over herself, casting Wilson back into the Constant Wilson and Maxwell meet up and after a rocky start agree to work together to make a portal that transports the other trapped survivors to them. They survive long enough to get to the heart of the Ruins, fighting the Ancient Fuelweaver and going into the portal after it's defeat. In the portal they find Winona and are put through a gauntlet called The Forge, eventually defeating the Grand Forge Boarrior. From there a new portal is found that takes them into a world where they face a force called The Gnaw. (This is where we are currently.) Not intentionally, but still. I'm waiting for the inevitable boss fight where Wilson suggests just letting Maxwell go solo for this one. Question is the throne that Charlie on the same as the throne maxwell/Wilson was on? I came to an assumption it wasn't and that the throne that maxwell was on was a link to (I guess) the real world (were the characters originally came from), maxwell was needed for the throne because of his magic and that's why Wilson was removed as he didn't have magic. The nightmare throne works based on the mentality of the sitter. Here's different versions of the throne during her internal struggle. If you look at the triumphant skins, the same applies to the throne. If Wilson stayed on the throne for longer, the land would've matched his personality but Charlie took away that potential timeline.
