Neotuck Posted April 12, 2018 Share Posted April 12, 2018 I would call this a jack of all trades seed as you got a little bit of everything a slush and PW geysers for good fertilizer/ nat gas production as well as coolant for keeping base cool 2 metal volcanoes (iron and copper) a minor volcano which is good for both heat and unlimited sand while you have a polluted O2 and Hydrogen vent it's hard to make much use of those without good cooling I wouldn't say the water geyser is a benefit as you are missing a cool steam vent that seems to have been cut out to make room for these lockers lol (see picture) overall I would give 7/10 good find! Hakon Posted April 13, 2018 Share Posted April 13, 2018 The hot steam vent doesn't produce enough steam to power the steam turbine for a considerable amount of time. For it to work you need a verry complicaties setup. You would produce more power if you just let your dupes run on a wheel then if you make them huilt it. Brothgard made a video about it. Yeah, you get a huge amount of heat per unit mass, but it won't last very long at all. PhailRaptor Posted April 13, 2018 Share Posted April 13, 2018 Barring any world gen issues, every map will have 4 exposed Geysers, 2 of which are guaranteed to be Steam. There will always be 1 NatGas, but the final exposed Geyser will be either a second NatGas, or a Chlorine. The overlapping template spawn thing seems to be a newer occurrence. I recently had this occur, but unfortunately both of the adjusted output rates were... lacking.
