The results is a lively air in my base: However, Food Poisoning Germs seem not to spread by air. None of my dupes got it nor any of the plants nor the food. After 3 cycles FP germs will die in gas. So I wonder if I should bother. Can somebody confirm, that? Is it intended? Oozinator Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 I clean my water, before i use it in electros, but everything below 10.000 germs is not important (my experience), in a standard game.. I have one used water cycle (water sieve-) toilets, sinks don't care about germs. Most times i mix fresh with polluted and cool it down, before feeding electros. It's expensive food 2. MatthewCline Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Using debug mode I exposed the 3 starting dupes to polluted oxygen with a food poisoning germ count of 1 billion and it didn't seem to have any effect on their immune systems, but maybe I just didn't wait long enough. Food poisoning is only contracted by consuming food with food poisoning germs on it. I believe this is documented in-game. Slimelung, on the other hand, is only contracted by inhaling O2 / PO2 with slimelung germs on it. I have always feed food poisoned water to electrolyzers (up to millions in cont) and have never seen it in the air.
