Critter limit? can now only fit 8 per room

Recommended Posts

Since morbs cannot be tamed, they might not count to the creature limit. However one of klei said on the stream that you dont want certain creatures in your base (regarding morbs). So it might be that they actually attack stuff or prevent your tame create from functioning in the near future.

I always kept morbs separated from pufts with an airflow tile floor

I'll have to try it out later tonight,  but can critters share the space?

Specifically morbs and pufts with morbs on the ground and pufts up in the rafters?

Morbs can't be tamed. Anyway, no sharing now.  All creatures in the room volume counts, including stray wild ones. So one curious shine bug flying into a stable full of hatches will make them all rather unhappy.

Apparently at full happiness a hatch will output 100kg of coal a day, so thats a fair amount more, i dont think i ever seen higher than 35 from mine

Still a way to go to the 250kg/cycle before though but decent I suppose

I think i usually only had 2 or 3 hatches in my old games and had lots of coal, so having a room big enough to max out the amount I can have for me should hopefully be good enough. Although the feeding station only has 200kg capacity so i worry they will eat it in one go and the others will starve

they do eat it in one go so best to have a compactor near it with hatch food and a sweeper

The produce P-O2 with quantities of Slimelung.  They have for quite some time.  That's a combination you don't want anywhere near your living space.

I have never actually used the sweepers (mainly due to me not playing the game for a while and a mass army of dupes) can the sweeper arm etc supply food directly to the feeding station? can this be done for coal too?

Generally no unless you insist on the feeding station needing to be on the ground. If you need it at all. Depends on the critters.

3 wide if you have a platform for hatches etc for the grooming station and a ladder so that the hatches cant go anywhere. I dno how 2 would go?

so 4 for hatches (grooming, feeding, ladder) and 3 for pufts (grooming, ladder)  I know you could get by without ladders but you risk critters escaping

disagree, I seen them get stuck and the door was set to auto

In 1600+ hours of playing I haven't seen this happen once. And nobody has ever demonstrated it to be possible so I'm afraid I'm going to have to see some evidence of that occurring.
