How would I address this Germ issue?

Recommended Posts

@MythN7 only time you "produce" germs in the air as far as i know from oxygen production is if you use an electrolyzer to make oxygen (and hydrogen) from water.. and the water you are using contains germs

then of cause germs can still get into the air other ways... especially when digging out the green zones..

ya, so using that germ water for showers and sinks and toilets is fine?

ill try to pay attention to using this water in a scrubber, but i am guessing it should be safe cause i dont think it outputs any gas just consumes it.

So what about putting a storage vault in your germ clean water tanks that hold bleach stone?

I used to use this as a method to snuff out the clorene they created before that stuff seemed to have any use.  LOL.

Still dont know of a direct use, but im sure there is one.

also algae that's been distilled from slime will have slime lung germs and will get into the air from the algae deoxydizer

@MythN7 chlorine works fine to clean air. Unfortunately not so much for cleaning water (kind of wierd when you think about that in real life it is used a lot of times to clean water in swimmingpools etc but not in the air, because of the danger of breathing it...)

hey, do you guys think it would be helpful to run a pump with several drain ends over the same yellow dotted water pool and run a pump to stir the pot so to say, for 2 reasons.

1 try to disperse the germs more so they die off faster, and

2 would some of the germs stick to the nozzle when dripping back in allowing your dups to come and mist it?

actually for minimum germ impact do not drip into the pool, drip onto a ledge beside the pool

WOW, I would almost call this an exploit lol.

using a small step and dropping in 5000 units of water, half the valves max limit just to be safe for not making the puddles  to big.

i am in the process of setting up 2 more stair runs into this same pool so i can make 3 values off the 1 pump at 3333 water each.

you can see the water filling up to the left is germ free, and its not even leaving residue on the stairs.

i also tried to just mop up the stairs constantly and that works to, gives you germ free water bottles you can put back somewhere else.

I bet if you just plug the water sleeve into this drip system you would get perfectly clean water right off the bat.

wow, does this ever work like a charm, got 1/4 of that tank cleaned germ free in the time it took to build the system, maybe 3 cycles.

the highest germ node in the water was about 1000, over and most of the dotted tiles had about 300-600 germs.

over the time of at least 50 cycles i think the germs only dropped by maybe 10%.

I really can see them patching this sometime as it seems way to cheaty.  LOL

So, over time, the water and air is getting dots on it. and the disinfect wont register water or air tiles it seems.

How do I  clean this?

Thanks

Put a lid over your polluted water pool.  Have a door for access to the manual pumps, if you're still using them, with deoderizers on both sides of the door.  Polluted water evaporates into polluted oxygen which supports slimelung.  Get rid of the polluted oxygen, the slimelung will go away.

One Thing that wasn't mentioned!

Base layout! Avoid latters like in the picture above with the food poisoned water that are going directly into the middle of the tank. Dupes could carry germy things and drop them at the end of the day. They will land directly in your tank.

One other thing is if one dupe makes a mess it can flow in your tank from so many ways. This can also easyly be prevented by right latter placement and floor placement
