The freezing effect makes her horrible, but Bernie doesn't balance that enough. Make more use out of him please, make him into more defensive, give some armor, helm or even a weapon, he is slow when moving, so to catch up to players or monsters is still balances the armor and weapons. If armor and weapons don't work, make more different Bernie's, like Willow would make more toys with different custom designs, but has powers too! Armored bear, speedy bear, smart bear (with powers to run from shadows), maybe fun bear, small sanity boost. Leave the fact that they are alive by Willow's insanity, and she still freezes, but make Bernie ('s) good at least! Make her have multiple active Bernie's! Willow is great character, but the changes in DST made her horrible, many people hate her, makes her mostly useless. She had good use in DS, but why not in DST? She maybe used to be most hated as a griefer, but other characters can do that too. He would have 500 health but this time he will actually fight the nightmares with spear damage, also he takes the blunt of all the nightmares aggression towards you even if you decide to battle with him. I can see him being used much more if they add something along the lines of this because right now the literal description of Bernie is "Useless", he just soaks damage and you would have to sew/craft a new one to rinse and repeat. If he was only possible to be picked by only the owner, like Lucy the axe, makes the fact that you need to defeat him while he is there. It would counter Maxwells shadows too, Maxwell can read Wicker books already, so he's shadow minions and him against like 5 Bernie's would be fun to watch and battle. But Willow HAS to be insane for them to work, so that balances the freeze. If you know how to kite a crawling horror you pretty much don't need him. Doesn't buff him enough to kill shadows by himself, but at least they won't destroy him in a few seconds.
