Robocraftran
Sunsets/Sunrises The first and final moments of Dawn and Dusk respectively the environment adopts a warmer color scheme. New Construables A change that should be implemented to the other versions as well: Something along the lines of furniture items such as Beach Chairs that could provide a sanity boost while being rested on, Deployed Umbrellas that would protect against the environment, and platforms constructed out of wood, bamboo, etc. that can extend that reach of an island, akin to a boardwalk. Larger Soundtrack Seems to be a given, but a few more compositions would greatly enhance the experience: Preferably with 100% more Steel Drums. Updated Interactions It would be nice to explore the inner workings of the characters a bit more, and this comes in the form of dialogue. New prompts can arise in proximity of something as well as its occurrence. For example, Wendy having conversations with her sister over certain aspects of the world, Willow recalling on previous experiences whenever standing near a fire, and Wilson relating his endeavors to previous experiments. As for the two mute characters Wes and Wilbur, they can perform varying gestures both with their faces and their bodies to indicate their opinion over a subject. Towards an action they cannot perform, they can do a shrug, shake their head, or appear frustrated. To expand upon this, Wes can be more expressive over his subjects, being a mime and all, whereas Wilbur can perhaps display thought clouds (perhaps stylized in a crayon-esque cartoon fashion) revealing simple images of what he perceives is going on. DeputyDeath
I agree with you on stuff like voicelines and soundtracks, because Don't Starve has the issue where a character is only really interesting for 50 days or so, by which point you will have heard all of their lines at least 10 times. And furniture. I want furniture plz. You could have a log next to the a fire pit to sit on in DST, or a tree stump in single player. I just want more variation in Don't Starve, that's all. I'd like it if the light levels during the day weren't constant (e.g. solar eclipses and clouds going past sun), and if sounds and voicelines were more varied and interesting. It can't take long to make a whole bunch of new examination quotes, right? You could probably make another 5-10 for each item within a few days, and then some more that play when passing certain events (like a giant about to attack, or when you're at low health) within a few more. Robocraftran
That would definitely be something interesting to explore! Examination quotes changing over time would reveal a great amount of character progression, which would majorly work in the advantage of encouraging individuals of continuing a world and keeping characters alive. On the note of variation, maybe different camera angles can also be explored to support this, such as a more level field of perspective as it was explored in "The Screecher" Mod. This would make for an awesome feature to: Look up at clouds, which could cast shadows that would cool characters down, Locate Volcanoes, which could be located by tracing a trail of smoke in the sky, Engage in Stargazing, which would just be an immersive experience, and one that would help pass time during the night. and Track Migrations, areas where Birds and Butterflys would be located in mass quantities. My point is, you will have quickly seen all of a character's examination quotes when you start playing as them; and that's bad, when you remember that this is the only real personality they have. The only character I didn't get bored of was Wolfgang. I remember happily waiting until full moon just to read 'is not potato.' when examining an evil flower. voyager156
Generally good suggestions - especially more music, since this is what is missing for me most now. AnonymousKoala
I really want to see new sailing music, efs, fight music, work music, etc. for each season. EFS of Flood Season is so damn good, Mild's is "eh", and I'm incredibly dissapointed they're all we have.
