Thread posters in this forum now have the ability to delete posts in threads they have created. They can edit their own posts and even close their own thread and still post in it.

Original posters of a thread can moderate their threads as they see fit.

Here are the ground rules so far.
 

• Original posts are still expected to be on topic, however after that, it's up to the OP.
• If a thread devolves into nonsense and is no longer primarily about the original topic, it may be moved, if it becomes too large.
• You are expected to be respectful and not use these privileges to harass other users.
• If an artist has artwork intentionally not on the forums, don't bring it up on the forums
• The fact that users can moderate their own threads is not license for other users to misbehave
• We may change these permissions or rules if abuse is identified.

The idea is that we want you to be in charge of your creations here on these forums. We want you to feel like you have a place to show off your creations.

Could you guys maybe lay the ground rules on what art topics are and aren't acceptable 'round here maybe ; w;

From what I've seen things have been rather cutesy but not much else and I can't find any guidelines that have to do with the actual art posts, just about being on topic... I'm not so sure how choosy it is here.

I second this!I've seen a lot of people write and draw uh, 'raunchy' stuff on tumblr. I tried to find the forum rules on wether all posts should be kept PG13 or if a warning is required or if external links are okay or... or what, but couldn't really find anything on it? Some clearance would be just good I guess.

Links are fine. That rule was made because some artists had art on other websites that they didn't want people bring up on the forums.

To put it another way, it's not your job to post other artists artwork.

So for those of us with art threads that... Shall we say, don't get updated very frequently, at what point is it acceptable to start a new thread rather than reviving one that hasn't been commented on in 30+ days?

I know some forums frown upon 'necromancy', so I just wanted to make sure.

Im not sure of the official things however:

 

art threads are oddly exempt from the "necro" effect when the thread make makes the post, you may get the odd "necr-oh wait nevermind" but besides that (from my experience) people aren't too bothered

hey I have done, from what I  have seen on PS4, some very unique art and I have no idea on how to post it up on the website for others to see.  Could I perhaps get some help from someone on how to do this?? I guarantee it will blow people away... assuming no one has done it on PC... lol but plz help me!!!!
