She really had, but even though she was standing at the very edge of the light it was casting, she could still feel it, see it out of the corner of her eye, hear it's crackling. It was like trying to ignore a blood drenched abomination sitting in the middle of the room, staring hungerly at her with it's hot breath going down her neck. She couldn't do it. So she turned her back, and slipped into the darkness surrounding the camp. As soon as she did, however, it felt like she had stepped into a void. The air felt thick and heavy, muffling out the sounds of the camp behind her. All surrounding her was nothing but cold, empty, darkness. "Something is very wrong. We shouldn't be here." Kade was right. She knew she needed to get out of here, but her legs didn't move. Her body wasn't cooperating. A horrible hiss echoed in the void around her. "KATE!" Her body finally started to run as something forced its way through her back, cutting through her insides and pushing a scream out of her throat. She fell out of the darkness and into the ring of light around the camp. She curled up, coughing and tears squeezed out of her eyes. "OH THIS IS BAD, VERY VERY BAD!" He yelled while Panicing. He knew basic first aid, but this was advanced stuff. He then joined the crying party that Kate and Julian started. MenaAthena Posted February 24, 2016 Share Posted February 24, 2016 The wound on her back actually wasn't that big. It was more of a thin slit. Strangely enough, there wasn't that much blood either, other than the little Kate had coughed up; it almost seemed like the wound had been seared but without the use of fire. It didn't look like there would be much more damage than what had already been done. All the commotion had woken the dragon up. She swiveled her head around to look at everyone, blinked a few times, and then immediately fell asleep again.
