Wiffleball sat down, then began stroking Noctimus' back in a soothing fashion. Once he was sure the shadow was fast asleep, he placed Noctimus onto the pillow, then took off his coat before laying down next to Kate. A lot of things had happened today, good and bad. Mostly bad, but still. He was glad for the hours ahead of him, and not just because of being able to rest - he needed some time to just sort through the day's events and try to make some sense out of them.

In her near sleep daze, Kate wrapped her arm around Wiffleball and pulled him to her chest, quickly drifting off.

Kade had sat himself down in a chair in the corner. The image of the boy slowly faded as her sister drifted off until his sister lost consciousness, leaving behind the empty nightmare fuel shell. (It's up to Waddle to decide if he can see "Kade from this current position or not.)

Syndir had seen himself to one of the many rooms of the manor, and found himself staring into a tall bedside mirror.

I can give you a few minutes.
His eyes widened, "You would allow that? What if I don't put it back on?"

Then the poison would inevitably reach your heart, and you'd die.
"Do it."

You've got ten minutes.

No indication came. No sound. No feeling. Nothing. But when he pulled at his mask it shifted. It wasn't pleasant. Some of his skin has melded to the obsidian, but the pain didn't stop him and he tugged until it came off.

He wasn't quite sure what he had expected. The left side of his face looked about as bad as it hurt—the pain still lingered—and it was the first time he had seen the true extent of the damage.

"I-it attacked me! I have never felt an attack like it did before, like something jolted me. I think it is the angry, quickly get it out of the angry! I don't want it attacking me again," Silven said as he starred at the object in Markless Trevors' hand.

Wheke grabs Trevor's hand and tries to bite the object attached with her/his rows of teeth.

"JAW!" The bloody thing was going to kill its self! Gilda grabs jaw's arm. "We can wait until daylight! Don't do that!"

Wiffleball didn't expect Kate to grab him, and seized up with tension as soon as he was pulled close. After the initial shock passed, though, he relaxed, realizing she was simply holding him for comfort. It felt...nice, actually. Nostalgic, in an odd, warped way. His gaze fell on the boy, who had sat down in a chair some ways away from them. Didn't he need sleep, too? His question was answered when Kade began to...lose form, for lack of a better word. The boy simply melted away, leaving only the pitch-black shape of a human behind. Wiffleball turned his head away, then looked up at the sleeping Kate, panic giving way to a creeping feeling of dread.

It was going to be a long night.
