"They give you magical powers, obviously." She replies, as though it's a perfectly normal thing to say. "They all do different things. I dunno what specifically, but they're pretty awesome, I hear." Kate stiffed when Noctimus curled up next to her. Her mind warred between giving in to fear and running away from everyone, or letting herself be comforted by the adorable puppy. She eventually sided with the second option and scooped up the pup, holding him comfortably and letting herself sob quietly.
