Gilda watched the scene between the lizard and the new person. The lizard felt something was off too, good to know... Gilda walked over to the lizard. "Ummm, sorry to interrupt... but... think you could make some more of that water from before?" The lizard spoke in roars, that was similar to merm language? Maybe if she spoke her native tongue they could roughly communicate. She let out some gurgles and growls, saying ""Can you understand me?""

Wheke backed away from the edge of the boat and grinned at Gyx. Wheke then poked Gyx with their poking device and ran over to the small non-trevor. (Kate) "Um... I... may have forgotten what to call you..." Wheke then poked her with the device.

(If all else fails, pull a Wiffleball and rely on body language.)

As night fell over the boat, the cargo hold (along with the rest of the ocean) was shrouded in darkness, and Kate was forced to retreat. Without a portable light of some sort, there was no way she could reach the stuffed toy.

Clunk. In the darkness, a piece of coral hit the staircase.

The dragon tilted her head. Why did these creature keep trying to talk to her in different languages when she understood humans speak just fine? Of course, she couldn't really tell anyone that she understood humans speak. Stupid language barrier. She understood some basic words from this one though. "Something you undersomething me?" is pretty much all she got. Well, might as well give communicating back to her a shot.

"Can't get water now. Too dark. I can understand humans speak."

(Sorry, I forgot Kate's actions and I can't edit on this thing.)

Kate couldn't answer Wheke right now. Her friend was in the dark and might get hurt by the same thing that hurt her. If he was trying to tell her something with the clunk sound, she missed it. She scanned the ship for something she could carry that gave off light and saw the glowing jar at the end of the ship. Quickly, she picked it up and ran down the stairs, teling Wheke "Kate." as she passed him.

"What are you speaking? It's not Feline, obviously, and it's certainly not domestic, but I understand the gist of it..."

She turned to Gilda and said (in Common) "Something about darkness,  and that she can't get water. Oh, and you can speak common, she understands it."

Jaw eats the egg and starts making pleased sounds. These eggs were so tasty and nutritious!

The coral hitting the boat made Jaw almost loose balance and fall on his butt. (my bad, i misunderstood the coral hit thing)

He approached the only light source, scared of the darkness, still not giving up on his precious spot behind Gilda.

"i...nEED oF hEAL, fOR nO bLOOD aRM..."

He says, trying to whisper to Gilda, not realising he was still shouting

Famen saw Kate run off to the storage room with the first bottle. Thankfully, Meritursail hadn't started moving again yet. Famen took the second bottle he found and wrapped it around Gyx's rope and hook. He lowered it into the glowing sea (fallout reference? i don't know what you mean) and filled the bottle with some more bioluminescence.  He took the bottle and hung it in the middle of the ship.

(More like Chrisis, if you know what I'm sayin, hehehe.)

Meritursas gets tired of waiting, and sets off again.  He seems to navigate the darkness perfectly fine, using his two carapace-covered arms to feel around for obstacles.  Eventually, they reach open ocean.  The waves hitting against the side of his head rocks the boat slightly.

"It's my native language... " Gilda wasn't sure if the lizard understood her. It would be nice to talk to them about the new person they both found untrustworthy without them understanding... She picked up a little of the lizard's growls. 'Can't.... water... Dark.... Understand human'

Gilda turned to Jaw. "Sorry, I'll ask."

Gilda shouted to the boat's occupants. "Does anyone have anything for healing?!"

Kate. Kate. Small not Trevor was Kate. Got it. Wheke had nothing to heal really, Wiffleball and Wheke had turned the bamboo and vines into a poking stick.

After a while, Mark finally realized something.

They were on the ocean. Sailing on a boat. That was surrounded by water. Water. Water everywhere. He suddenly started feeling bad.

As he heard the question, he quickly shook his head "no" and tried to shake the thoughts of water from his head.

It was a bit hard to do that, though, since they were surrounded by it.

(You could ask Famen, I recall him having some cloth in his backpack.)

The sphere of light provided by Kate's bottle was bright enough to illuminate most of the cargo hold, revealing a few miscellaneous supplies scattered on the floor and a small coral pile off to one side. Slumped near the pile was a familiar stuffed rabbit, head down. Its focus was trained on a single, purple piece of coral, which it was turning over and over in its paws. Noticing Kate, it glanced up at her with faint interest for a second before looking back down and resuming.

(And yes, that is the same piece from earlier. He took it with him.)

"I... I have a crab, if you... if you want..." Mark almost forgot he still had the other crab with him. He stopped his cheek-pinching fun and held it over to Julia.

He was fighting his urge not to crawl in a dark corner and stay there until the trip was over. There was just so much water, and he really wasn't feeling okay.

Well... that ship was better than his umbrella, that's for sure.
