We can make it trough, if everyone supports each other.

I have been talking to few people who have said to me "I wish i had the key when they first started to give them away." But what i think. I am glad that i wasn´t with the first hundred people who got the keys.I don´t have to feel about the bugs, glitches ,etc. Actually if i check my self properly i can feel happines. Because when it is my time to receive the beta key, there has been many bug reports and with the help of the earlier testers those bugs will not haunt us. So the ones who receives keys sooner or later shall call them self with a name of Confirmers. Why? Because we are able to test the game which has been cleared from most of the bugs. So eventough it would take months to get a key just think these words. "I will be able to play more stable versions than earlier testers." So please everyone be patience and the key will be reward for it.

Thank you for your time.

Fantastic post. Someone gets the bigger picture. When that golden day comes when you DO get a key, you'll be more active in the balance issues, rather than the bugs. THAT aspect I'm really interested in, especially as a person who plays competitive gaming (in my case, Starcraft 2).

Wait, he left, as in recently? I knew he wasn't around a few months ago but I remember him coming back to work since dst.

He posted recently in the Invisible Inc. section, but it's nothing compared to when he actually used to post.

That is aesome of you to say. but that doen't change the fact that i might want to get a key early anyways, so i may contribute to exposing/discovering bugs and such. I might wanna particiate to suggesting things that would makeDST better. 'Cause i would do that.

Oe thing that makes me kinda sad is me realizing that it won't be as fun when the beta is open. so man people who don't care, trolls, hackers, etc. it will make DST less fun. idiots cominginto the game. people who don't have practice with SP, and who didn't play it because "Multiplaier is moar funn". players like that ruin multiplayer games a lot. if only the beta would remain closed. only a selected few would get in, good players, competent players, players with respect and training.

now that i think about it, will DST really be as fun as itis now when random stranger join your game, grief you and leave?

I'll still be happy when i get my key, but after the beta, will it be as fun? prive servers, sure, but that's not always fun.

I need to move this to it's own topic i feel.

As someone who has a key and plays DST I can tell you that you shouldn't feel bad about not being part of the closed beta. There is a very small handful of people that actually got keys. Right now there is still much to tweak with the beta as it is not the most stable thing in the world. There periodically are crashes, world restarts, and rubber banding. I would say that currently the single player version has a better gameplay experience, but the main reason I continue to play DST is so that I can report bugs and issues to Klei. So that the beta will develop as quickly as possible and be released to those who signed up for the beta.

As for the game being less fun after it is opened up to more of the beta, I believe the exact opposite. People are voicing their concern for players with lack of experience flooding their games. However, I wouldn't call all of the recent players I have played with "experts" of Don't Starve... The beta is not an elite cult of master players like some people might believe. I can assure you that there are still trolls and griefers in the current beta. I personally look forward to new players getting keys as that means more servers to choose from and more people to meet. I'll stop here because I feel I've made my point. All I want to say is that Don't Starve Together can only get better from here. The developers at Klei are working their hardest to bring you the best experience possible. So for now keep checking those inboxes! I hope to see you all in-game!

Wait, he left, as in recently? I knew he wasn't around a few months ago but I remember him coming back to work since dst.

No, some people think he left. He just doesn't have as much time as the other devs to post on the forums is probably the reason. He posted on October 8th last.

Yes, better train in single player to prepare yourself for the open beta... Because working with others is really hard, and as Don't starve is a game where I've found myself constantly managing things and timing my actions, you better know the game very well to face off every kind of situation... nothing is quite predictable in multiplayer, and the odds were often against me  :lemo:
