Exactly what the title says. Maybe in a screenshot or something? My most recent death is poor little Wilson, who died from freezing in adventure mode (in King of Winter). I died from like 6 tallbirds attacking me at once, luckily i had a touch stone activated so i didnt die forever, but i realized a moment too late i had no winter gear for warmth, i quickly died from freezing. Most of my winter gear was right next to the tallbirds where they killed me, so i would just die again from them.

 

. Below the image of wilson freezing is a picture of one of the pages of my Morgue. Ignore the willow deaths, i was messing around with touch stone spawning with cheats. Every other death is legit. I was also spamming the skip day cheat just for pretty much no reason. (Though i did get to see the trees grow) When you use the skip day cheat, your hunger still goes down. That is why one of the willow deaths is starvation. Also one of the wilson eye plant deaths was from me not paying not attention and somehow not realizing there were eyeplants.... (In my defense, i had like 10 health left anyway from another battle that i barely won)

 

The lesson i learned from that is to always pay full attention to Don't Starve. The other eye plant death? It was the same file, i had a touchstone. I then proceeded to try to sneak through the fields which were now literally infested with eye plants. As you can probably guess, i got attacked by one of them when i was trying to sneak through. (I also didnt have any weapons at the time.) You're probably wondering how i died from a Deerclops on day 11, i got brave and set deerclops to lots... It wasnt even winter and i died. (Also, the deerclops death from day 10 was the same file, i found a touchstone in that file. Why do i always find them? Not gonna complain.) Even Werebeaver could not save us because there was also a bunch of spiders around for some reason, and a few tallbirds. WHICH HAPPENED TO BE RIGHT NEXT TO WHERE I WAS.

 

The darkness deaths are my own fault, i somehow forgot to make a campfire. I was doing so good on the Wilson file that got to 9 days before it died from darkness too. I realized i needed to make one seconds before my death. When i died i facepalmed myself so hard...

You're probably wondering what the last image is all about, its basically the birth of a new save file. I just let you get a peek at it. (Yes, i cheated to unlock Maxwell. I probably could of done it legit eventually, but at the rate i was going, it would of took me about 10000 years. I didnt cheat to unlock Wes though. I don't have them unlocked at all. Eh, not sure if they're really worth it.)

You don't HAVE to post your entire morgue, just maybe a few "pages." (Pages worth of deaths in the morgue i mean, NOT forum pages. that would be spam probably)

I thought you could only die from that in reign of giants?

Also, my game just crashed when my maxwell murdered a rabbit. the error said something about the naughtiness. I disabled my only mod (which has nothing to do with naughtiness) and murdered the rabbit again, did everything again, etc. It didnt crash a second time.

Maxwell is on day 4 now in my game.

 

Back on-topic for me, then. Dang, King of Winter is brutal... even with a meat effigy i died from freezing again like 5 seconds after.

The starvation one is from save file im currently playing, both of my resurrection stones are gone so I gotta be cautious bluh. Its spring so apparently the rabbits wont come out and I cant get them to make a Prestihatitator (I had one, got smashed by deerclops who wouldn't leave my camp) to make an amulet or collect beard hairs from them for a meat effigy. Fingers crossed I can dig up a life giving amulet or just stay alive until the rabbits return.

That's why I don't like looking at my morgue. My friends know how much I adore but then they see this and their like "If you love her so much why do you keep killing her?"

I admit that I stop playing for a bit everytime it happens or switch to someone else (usually Wilson, need to try Wigfrid)

Don't think of it as killing her. Is there a way to remove some of your stuff from the morgue eventually? I want to remove those cheaty willow file deaths (sometimes i make a random file when i'm bored and spawn like 10 deerclops, stuff crazy like that and keep going until the character i'm using the cheat with dies.) I do have a legit willow file, but havent played them in a while, they're on day 5 and have not died yet. On the bright side, maxwell spawned right next to a touch stone and has stockpiled tons of berries, twigs, and stuff from exploring.

In the update ''A Feet of Strenght'' they mentionned the following fix:

 

-Fixed overheating deaths being listed as “Shenanigans” in the morgue screen.

 

Might be what happened in your case ! Cheers.

When it says you die from shenanigans, it means its something unknown to the morgue (like a mod creature or something)

Did you forget to build a campfire/light the fire pit like i did with my darkness deaths? I had such a awesome world with my wilson who lived only 9 days from my stupidity, right next to TONS of beefalos, rabbit holes and stuff. Resources almost everywhere. Spear and log suit had been built by then. Also had a crock pot and spammed making meatballs, i was at the point i actually had trouble starving.

I never play WX-78. I always play one of three characters Wilson, willow (LEGIT AND NO CHEATS) or maxwell now. I usually only play Wilson despite having most of the characters unlocked. Wilson is the best (Now you know the secret in my signature) I wish i could get rid of those cheaty willow deaths because i can't really play willow now without probably making people think a legit file is a cheaty file if they die.

Well, I was low on sanity, so I cooked 4 green mushrooms, and ate them. Without knowledge of one little thing : I had only 3 hp.

Don't worry, i've eaten cooked green mushrooms when i was low on sanity, but luckily i was high on health, so it didnt take me long to notice. I didnt die though.

Only just started playing for the first time since towards the start of the beta a few days ago. There was a chess biome close to my camp, and all I needed for a Shadow Manipulator was Nightmare Fuel, so I sprinted through it and nabbed whatever evil flowers I could. Came out unscathed but decided I didn't quite have enough so ran back in. Got nailed. My health wasn't particularly high, but I was unprepared for just how hard Bishops hit, D:

 

My second and current playthrough is as Willow. Currently on day 37 and just survived winter. I was worried I wouldn't survive the cold, but actually I completely bossed it. Kept my Thermal Stone charged and made plenty of pairs of earmuffs, and kept my wood and grass on me at all times so I could throw a campfire down whenever the screen started to ice up. Simples,

This two ones are my latest. I was out for some mctusk hunting, which didn't end so well. Just as I woke up on my meat effigy I see a deerclops punching Chester. Luckily I had a spare life amulet and some shadow armor, but at that moment I thought I would lose my world.

Yep, exactly... I was sitting right next to a campfire, waiting for the last few seconds of dusk to run out so I could light it without wasting fuel. I got distracted, and forgot to pause.

Lost my no respawn file to a depth worm. Did you know you can't walk over them, they aren't above camping on bridges, and they do 75 damage?

If you are stupid enough to not use armour when you see depth worms (especially as Maxwell) then you deserve to be in Worm's stomach.

If you are stupid enough to not use armour when you see depth worms (especially as Maxwell) then you deserve to be in Worm's stomach.

They still rip your armor to shreds and do a considerable amount of damage even armored, especially when up to 6 of them can chase you at once towards later stages. It can be a fast death for Maxwell even with his starter night armor, as low health is still low health even with armor.
