Anyone else wish there was a way to pause with crafting menu access?

Sometimes you pause to think because this game is a lot of about thinking a head, but when you pause you get the pause menu.  I wish when I pressed the pause button it would pause the game except allow me to look at all the available tech I have unlocked so I can thoroughly figure out things quicker w/out looking at the wiki as a reference to something I'm planning on doing.

 

tl;dr - klei keep 'ESC' as a way to open the save/settings prompt, but allow us to click the pause button ingame and still allow us to look at the crafting menu (you can't build when paused obviously)

Technically it's not "released" on pc either, the only ones who have access to the beta are forumers

shouldn't have toe download a heap of mods just to get a game you like to operate a little more intuitively.

But when you are in a fight and your spear break, it can create some stress to find a moment to craft a new one. 

 

And nights close to your fire pit and your science machine are the perfect time to think about what you could do next and search inside the crafting menu.

 

Research and creation cost time; it's part of the gameplay.

Well if you use a controller on PC it will pause the game when crafting as well. The only reason it does that is so that players who are using controllers aren't at such a huge disadvantage with PC. Since you can move with the keyboard and navigate the crafting menu at the same time, something you wouldn't be able to do with a controller.

Well I'll be darned if I've been doing it wrong all along, I just press 'TAB' for the map and leave it like that while I'm looking at the wiki, also gives me a chance to refresh on what I have on my map of use.

So for crafting, nah, I like my way better :3 lol
