Farms in Lights Out?

Indica

Recommended Posts

So, I've become addicted with lights out and I can't play default anymore. I am trying to find out if farms are possible? Since the lights are off, there are no birds. No way to get seeds to create the farm. Also there's no eggs to make a bird in a cage, due to the lights.

Any ideas?

Caves.

Hard to do now, since those ceiling lights in caves are synced with the time above ground. If it's daytime, ceiling light. Dusk, not as bright. Night there is no ceiling light at all.

So there are no ceiling lights at all in caves in lights out, not even the one near your sinkhole rope.

Actually, you can get black bird feathers and eggs from pengulls, Though  i'm not sure if they arrive at night.

They probably won't, as of many creatures are "AFK" while it is night, but I never tried lights out, so I can't know.

Also, black feathers are the less useful feathers. The real deal is the red one and the snowbird's feather (used to create blow darts).

Wickerbottom can summon birds, but I'm not sure if they'll actually drop seeds for you since it'll be permanently nighttime. And capturing them isn't that useful because without seeds, you can't make a birdcage anyway.

It'd be worth a try, though, to see if they -will- give any seeds. I bet they'll just instantly fall asleep, though. At least it'd be free food.

Had the same idea, just tested. I got one seed each time I used the book. They don't sleep. They touch down for one half second and then immediately fly away.

You do need eggs to write the book though... So perhaps if penguils come ashore at night you could do farms??
