NOO, My Rock Lobsters No Longer Love Me

Recommended Posts

Well ummm, I had brought up my rock lobsters to the surface and penned them in so hay walls and one day a spider passed by and broke one of their walls. They went free and the entire pack disappeared. They seem to always walk in the same direction but were stopped by my walls until that fateful day. So where are they? Did they crawl back into a random area of my cave?

Well it seems that I have found them mindlessly heading south even though there is nothing south of my map and I brought them back to my pen. Is there any ways to stop them from glitching out of the pen? Also I have 6 of them and they refuse to form a new herd where there pen is, so is there any way to make them form a new herd in the pen?

Kind of wish mine would go now, or at least go a bit farther away.

Here's a picture:

The obelisks are Rock Lobsters and the green cactus things are herd locations.

As you see, I'm experiencing a population explosion.  I feel I've made a mistake and introduced an invasive new species to the overworld, disrupting the delicate ecological balance...

It seems my rock lobster love each other too much. No idea how, but baby rock lobster have been sprouting all over the place its a infestation I must have at least 50 of them just wadding around in different herds.

you have now created a new ecosystem...

dont worry it will become a good functional part of it..."life will find a way"

An ecosystem which is almost impossible to control. With beefalo I can burn em to death or just slice em up with a pig army but these beast are much hardier then a beefalo. They take forever to kill because of there shell mecanic and their high health. Im almost worried that they will grow to be too many in numbers but for now I will let there population grow to the point where they block out the sun. When I find the herd that I find to be in the most ideal position I will pen it and wipe the rest off the face of the earth with a pig army like no other. Well enough of my rambling. On another note they are beast hound killers. All you need is 1 flint and you can get the entire pack riled up. It would take ages for hounds to kill em because they hide in there shell when ganged up on. So hounds are slowly widdled down and if I want I can contribute by taking out my nightmare sword and wacking away as rock lobsters tank the hits.

In conclusion, Rock lobster are a must for any late game base
