Yeah. I have only found it useful for taunting volt goats

Before 20% wasn’t good enough. 50% was too much, I think this is the sweet spot.

Ooooooo, I dig the spin cycle rework a lot! I can see a lot of benefit from people using their resource farms with it alongside the combat niche (especially with a forager/Winona Winbot support). They basically become a terramite, which is kinda funny honestly (at least they are much more realistic to benefit from it!). The extra downside of the dizziness is totally justified for the utility IMO.

Nice improvements to their other gamma circuits as well. It Puts them in a considerably better spot. The reverts to some of the oddball nerfs is the icing on the cake.

I still do hope their affinity skills give them some unique dynamics, but otherwise for their “base” perks I am much more satisfied with this. Thank you for listening and clarifying aspects of the tree!

Admittedly I kinda like how out of the way some of the items you use for it are. One of my favorite examples is the pick/axe. It’s actually a pretty solid “weapon”, sporting 42.5 damage a hit and a massive 800 uses when chopping/hitting mobs. I much prefer using unconventional weapons to proc the spin to give users some goals (especially since the pick/axe is pretty cheap and allows WX players to highlight their advantages of smoother ruins via gearstats and less clockwork aggro!).

Not every skill is made with solo play in mind like Wurt's swamp pathfinder skill for example. Or taunts in general.

Thank you! I think that this circuit and the sonar one are lost here, they are too situational...klei should give wx some attack status like walter frozen and Electric ammo...

Well, being situational is the point of gamma circuits, also Im pretty sure that the protection you get is made like it is in Dont Starve, where combining armor would make you lose a lot less health.
Also having electric circuits gives you way to use both of them more. Like for example: Boss is going to do fast attacks, so you start blocking, dealing damage by electricity and it charges the circuits mechanic (electric bomb), dealing like around 300 damage around you, killing most of the minions if the boss had any or just dealing massive damage to the boss.
+ if this protection circuit will also have taunt effect, its gonna be busted in online setting.

I get your point, but I dont know...It feels that klei is trying to make wx some support/ utility  chacacter for multiplayer and it is missing single player value..I play solo since the beggining and so far, I dont think wx is interesting enough. Besides the main status buffs (health, hunger, sanity and speed) there is nothing New so appealing for me,speccially  compared with other skilltrees.

The problem is that there is still a huge cooldown, so essentially you can only use it once per minute just for fast attacks or... cower until your helmet/armor breaks. It doesn't feel that viable to just use it for blocking fast attacks, it feels more like an emergency button in combat due to cooldown or to take attention off other players.. The only use so far beside that is to use it with electric circuit to farm spiders or bees.

This is a massive win. Now this competes with the others at the point it worths the effort.

 

I didn't tested it yet but someone can tell me if the stagger from armor breaking or unleashing electric current still takes Wx off of blocking state? That also needed tweaking I'm afraid

you know what, I agree a bit, with the slurtle body armor you can block 100% damage at the cost of durability and it has almost no cooldown.
so either it should block more damage without your armor getting its durability drained or the cooldown should be like 10 or 15 seconds, if needed.

My only solution was to use full set of marble armor + helmet to prolong it, but it kinda kills the point of using block state, doesn't it? Which is why I keep calling it the emergency button.

When I checked the changes, at first I thought they changed the protection from 75% to 100% but it was only the damage you can take before unblocking.
