Hey all, it's time for Intermission! This time, we've got a new entry in the Tales from the Constant series of animated shorts, a new login reward, streaming drops, and a skill update beta that you might be interested in.

Tales from the Constant: Birds of a Feather [Animated Short]
You never know who life will place along your path. Some walk with you for a moment, others for a lifetime, yet each leaves something behind.

It's Beta Time!
The WX-78 Skill spotlight will be released to beta later today. This first part of beta is being released a bit earlier than usual so that we have more time to take in feedback and adjust before the scheduled update mid-April. More features of the skill update will release through the beta period. You will also notice that this update focuses on a single character and does not include additional content or features, so that we can focus on making this a great skill update, rather than spreading out resources across multiple tasks. We hope that you agree this focus on quality rather than quantity is the right choice, but this is how we're going to be doing things for a while. More info will come with the roadmap.... soon.

To join us on the beta branch, follow the directions in this post

We need some time to work through this beta, and then we'll have a roadmap in early April. We can't put it out yet, for reasons that will be apparent soon. But for now, we hope you all enjoy the beta and interactive lore.

Maybe Wes skill tree will come next year in April fools 2027. 😔
(and unlockable Wonkey with skill tree for 2028's year of the monkey in the lunar festival calendar, pleeeease 😎👍)
It will be nice to see what you guys are cooking for WX skill tree and it is nice that you are focusing on only one character since having 3 character skill trees in the same update felt really bad in the past.

LETS GOOOOOOO excited for this! fingers crossed this goes well, i think that itll help a lot!

i love the short too, i was just talking to my friend about how the bunnymen feel so much less fleshed out than pigmen and merms. i hope to see more of them!

a 1 character skilltree is a good idea , i hope this does continue, hopefully this makes it so that every character has a decent and high quality skilltree ,

i still hope the previous characters get their skilltrees reworked would be nice

man, warly was so robbed.

also, i agree with the quality approach, but im concerned about how long it will take for the remaining skill trees to complete (over a year since the last skill trees) and the quality disparity between the new skill trees and the old ones, something we have already been seeing. I don't think the old skill trees need reworks entirely, but they could really use some touch ups or in very few cases replace or merge some skills.

Agreed - we're not terribly thrilled that it means it's going to take longer to finish them up either. Also, we're also concerned about the disparity between the newer skill updates and the old stuff. That's being addressed in the roadmap 😃

It's worrying to think that we'll have several more years to finish the remaining 6 because of breaks to redo the old ones, as has happened in the past.
