48219a38291 Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 (Sorry if anybody already posted this.Also you can do this on a normal world just skip the customization part.)So i had a lot of time to mess with the new preset and i set "Pigs" to lots and "Beefalo" to lots to get a lot of meat.1st.You must kill some spiders you may be able to find monster meat if the pigs have done it already you will need the monster meat.2nd.You feed one pig one monster meat if there are beefalo near if not feed all of them one each and bring them to beefalo and click on a beefalo with a spear and while you are walking to it run back and you will not attack them the pigs should hit the beefalo and all the pigs will kill the herd you will find a lot of meat on the ground.3rd.Repeat until you have around 20-100 meat.you should have enough for winter. That's like when I showed my sister how to edit recipes.lua and logged in the next day, only to find that all the recipes were 1 Grass or 1 Twig. If you manage to keep them alive through the hound attacks, and you have about eight of them, you can get tons of morsels and feathers from birds. Monthar Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 Wouldn't it be easy enough on standard settings to just farm monster meat from the spiders, feed 1 pig 4 of the meats so it turns into a were pig, kill it for 2 meats and a pigskin and repeat this process for all the pigs you find? Then use the pigskins to build more pig houses to have enough more pigs to do this to. mrwho Posted May 4, 2013 Share Posted May 4, 2013 Here's an easy way to get a LOT of meat without customizing the sandbox mode though, stumbled upon completely by accident:step one: build a razorstep two: wait for night and build a campfire next to beefalostep three: shave the beefalostep four: add a bunch of fuel to the firestep five: watch as the beefalo wool sets fire and all nearby beefalo are burned to death!I got about 20 meat from this, as well as a horn. It's hardly a renewable tactic, as you kill a bunch of beefalo in the process, but it's hilarous and a good way to get meat and beefalo horns!
