I hope you make T-shirts for these. Because if you did, I would buy at least 2 of them and wear them all day. You are an amazing artist, I think I am too but not as skilled as you! I have 2 questions for you. How did you learn to draw this good and what program or equipment are you using to draw these. LizardBat Posted June 14, 2013 Author Share Posted June 14, 2013 Thanks so much for the compliments and high rating! To answer your first question, how did I learn to draw this "good"? Practice would be practically the answer, but in better detail, I gathered great tips and tricks from tutorials, look into anatomy more (I had trouble drawing a simple standing position at one point) and look at other amazing artist's work. Just to clarify, I wouldn't just straight up copy, I'd notice the details of their art and see what I especially liked about them. Then if they had a special element to them that I really like, I'd try to apply it to my own drawings, but at the same time putting my own style to it. Hm For example, the way I do my eyes now is because of this picture: A pokemon drawing But I made it look more appropriate on humans with the eyelashes and such. I'd also want to say that I dislike tutorials that make it seem like there's only one certain way to draw, unless it's about drawing realistically, it's up to the artist's judgement on what looks appropriate to them. Bleh I'm kinda rambling, sorry if it doesn't make much sense.For the second question, I use a wacom bamboo tablet and I use the program Paint Tool Sai. That's it.I'd also like to ask which drawing would you wear a shirt of? I've thought about shirts before, but I don't think I'd feel right making them, because they are still just fan art. I'm still waiting to get those Don't Starve t-shirts from Fangamer, but they're still sold out of my size it seems.
