[Easy AFW] It should not be allowed to build structures inside the Atrium. Just another exploit.

The problem isn't the Gloomerang, because this can be done with any weapon of this type, including with Winona's catapults outside the Atrium. It probably also works with Wickerbotton's tentacles.

The problem is allowing building things inside the Atrium or having this "primitive artificial intelligence" of the Ancient Fuelweaver (why doesn't AFW just disappear when it realizes this?).

Inside the Atrium, it should only be allowed to build character structures (for example, catapults).

This is no fun.
Allowing this is a disgrace in the world of game development.

I love when some very insecure people think this game is some sort of competition where you have to prove yourself against other people and show how good and skilled you are. This isn't something that affects you. The game rules and exploits isn't some sort of government law that you have to care about. Remove mods too then. Remove console commands. They are completely unfair when you use them right? Why aren't you "play the game under MY conditions" elitists don't care about mods and commands? There were a mod that let you see in the darkness I remember. It's very unfair isn't it? No, WHO IS IT UNFAIR AGAINST??? WHAT DEFINES FAIR HERE? It's not a competition, it's not a fight, it's not something you prove yourself by playing the game "the right way". Your world is completely seperate from other players' worlds. They don't affect you in the slightest nor do you affect them. Removing an exploit that only and only occurs only if you go for it is beyond stupid. I'm sorry am I supposed to learn how to live life by playing this game? Am I supposed to learn some crucial skills that will improve my quality of life by knowing how to dodge some random boss in a random game that I'm missing out of? 

Ok, my girlfriend texted me saying she's sorry and we made up so I probably should calm down now.

What I'm saying is that this doesn't and shouldn't affect you. It's pointless to put time and effort into fixing something that doesn't affect anyone except the ones that look to be affected.

 

Fix this, nerf regular AFW so people don't feel the need to cheese him (like the way ancient guardian rework removed the need to cheese him)

By using a possessed shadow atrium on the old skeleton instead of normal one, you can spawn a buffed hardmode AFW.

This keeps everyone happy and means Klei can have a more professionally polished game instead of a 10 year old early access game... 

DST definitely still feels like an early access game even now. 

Also, this is a sandbox game for god's sake, not boss battle simulator #5849. Sandbox games let players do whatever playstyles that fit them. If you just wanna fight bosses then go play Terraria.

I'm probably a little late but I'd like to mention none of this is necessarily targeted against you. It's just built up annoyance from everyone else that blew up on you.

If there is a weapon that deals 9999 dmg and cost nothing do u think this will not harm other weapons , adding an op weapon or method , is not healthy to the game because it will harm other methods and weapons , this is called balancing the game bro , if u went to cheat  just add a mod that make u invincible and have everything, when Keli nerf or remove something that is broken it’s for the batter of the game

no, because most people'dn't use it because of realising how absurd that'd be, the only issue'd be people killing all bosses before you, because unlike literally all cheeses except 1, doing that'd end up being faster

this's just absurdly stupid, most people won't stop playing the game only because of a cheese existing, a bug shouldn't get taken into account for balance because you can't accidentally get to know about it without an external source of information and a lot of people already don't use it because of thinking that doing that makes them get less fun out of the game and skipping a boss fight'sn't same in comparison to god mode and free crafting and doesn't require being or bothering an admin most of the time

Suggested solutions:

a) prohibit placing any type of structure in the Atrium, except character items (catapults for Winona).

b) remove collision of monsters with Pillar Scaffold and Dreadstone Pillar Scaffold (all exploits with other bosses would end at once).

c) improve the AI of bosses to react when trapped, except Maxwell.

Again, this is a goddamn sandbox game. Let players have their own freedom to do their own boss fights.

I already need to kill the boring/tedious current version of AFW to access the shadow maul.

So boring in fact that people choose to cheese him with pillars even after lureplant/spider den fix.

cheese it then, you won't need to wait for 40 days for 2 respawns unlike people that'd want to fight current version of FW if it'd've started working the way you suggested

You know, it might help your cases if you just brought up there might be an issue instead of bringing up an issue and having the audacity to do it in the most disrespectful way possible.

If you are really going to bring up a movement issue being “””disgraceful””” to game development, then every sandbox game ever is susceptible to this, it isn’t just DST that has these problems, and even then most of the time you are forcing it upon yourself for mobs to behave like this.

Please, be considerate. Why should developers hear your feedback if you are practically insulting them to make your changes that you want?

Tell me the difference between downloading TMIP to oneshot everything and crafting that weapon. Or spawning 1000 meteors using a console command. They cost nothing do they? Why would you use any weapons at all when you can just nuke the bosses? Then lets burn down Klei headquarters because they dared to keep commands and modding in the game. Ugh so unbalanced am I right?
