I have foreseen the next dst update in a dream.

I had a dst dream last night, here is what I saw:

there is a new structure that is a giant chess board. One side has pieces made out of thulecite and moonrock (like the archives) and the other is made out of thulecite and nightmare fuel. At the end of the board is some giant structure made of thulecite I can’t remember the details of. You interact with it to start some event, where you need to move the chess pieces around while also fighting mobs. There was a big forum post by joe massively hyping it up and ppl seemed to generally like it. I don’t really remember anything else.

Well, that sounds exciting! I'm looking forward to the beta now. Do you remember if the chess pieces were moved via statue hauling mechanics (so, slow walking unless you're Wolfgang or on a beefalo) or some other way?

I can’t remember for sure, I think you could move pieces by hauling them around like statues but also pieces would get moved around by some sort of omniscient force, flying up and then being dropped down to their destination and you’d have to avoid where they land or else you’d get hit

This will sound very suspicious, but 2 of my friends had dreams about caves update. One, for example, had a dream about pumping a ancient pseudoscience station with a dread stone and using all the gems to create ancient gems

I once had a dream but I remember like 10 seconds of it (it was before all skillsets and stuff). I was playing Warly and finally prepared the last spice i needed then i ate about 5 or 6 dishes with some insane omega spices. With every spice there was a unique visual effect like now but they covered entire screen so i assume it's super late game stuff. Then i was like "Okay, i'm a god for several days" then i thought "why did i use them in base, whatever i have time, should hurry tho". Unfortunately i woke up before epic part but i think one of spices was night vision for 2 days

I remember I had a DST themed calendar in a dream. If I knew how to draw or paint I would make one, I really like the idea.

The intermission was 2 weeks ago, and they said they'd probably be ready to share in "a few weeks."

Besides, unless they intend the 4th update to be released at the End of December, the last 2 updates will have to have a shorter interval than the 1st two.

Can't wait to see what it's going to be.

We do have that though. It's the purple turf that's part of most marble set piece. It's just that the squares are tiny...

I had a dream very recently, where the single player version of the game had a selection screen with previous saves, where the characters were all held in place like a spiders web, but it was the shadows holding them. You'd have to select them (and I think even play a mini game beforehand), and the camera would zoom in and you'd resume the world you had with that character. The structure around the outside was wooden, almost like they were inside a box. It felt very much like a reminder of the ending of Don't Starve, a sense of helplessness where the shadows control everything and have no limits to their power.

Bizzare if you ask me.

The marble turf squares are both tiny and not really square. So no, I don't count that.

I have come here to announce that I have gotten yet another glimpse into the future of dst from a dream last night.

it was in the caves, and there was a new post rifts biome which acted sorta like terraria’s hallowed where it spawns post rifts. The turf was like depths worm colored and the biome was pretty dangerous (or at the very least, I tried to avoid it). Around the edges of the biome were giant moleworms. They were initially passive, but if you got too close or damaged them they’d get aggressive. I remember they were digging towards Something, like if you’d follow them they’d lead you somewhere, but I can’t remember to what.

I had a dream before of a moleworm biome in caves with evil moleworms and a funny moleworm boss. Its all muddy and dirty, like the mud pillars in the mud biomes. It was the hardest boss in the game, and canonically the most powerful being in dont starve, and you needed a special hammer to kill it. It would drop lit gunpowder everywhere, and you stun it using the hammer.

It would burrow under ground like a chomper from pvz, then split into more burrows, duplicating itself.

 

They should add it to the game.

I had a dream that if your (domesticated) beefalo died while the Lunar Rifts were open, it'd get possessed by a corpse gestalt and you'd be forced to fight it. It just had greenish-blue wool and a big ryftstal spike coming out of its head like a horn.

...Should there be a thread for DST dreams? Or does that not happen often enough to warrant it?
