Today i rushed AG, nightmare werepig, frostjaw and dfly by day 15 on klei server as woodie then i had to quit.

Woodie is just insane for rushing. You dont even need equipment just spam goose and moose until everything dies.

And woodie is unique as he doesnt need pick/axe to fight nightmare werepig.

No joke I am far from a rusher but trying out a Woodie rush in a pub server sounds fun.

You beat me to it, came to say this.
For most characters it's beefalo and while taming it's either "mild" ruins rush (that is, just crafting a thing or two and leaving. Maaaybe killing AG if I do it with enough time)
Or just mapping the surface and going lunar island before winter. But it depends a lot on the character I'm playing, for some characters I don't even go early game beefalo at all.

Yeah i will say hes just awesome, seeds are more valuable than ruins gear for woodie. Goose form is incredibly useful.

I generally scout the ocean in goose form for salt formations then head back there on boat to farm monster meat. Cookie cutters are a fantastic source for large quantities of monster meat for idols. If you park the boat just outside the formation you can quickly return in goose form to farm more. Tentacle spike or hambat is recommended tho.

The great thing about woodie in pubs is that you dont need to rely too much on gear. Idols are cheap and powerful. 

And if you are dedicated, one (maybe two) goose idols and one moose idol is all you need to kill AG after entering the caves. Making him one of, if not the fastest rushers of AG on the roster.

Depends on Character:
Wicker/Wanda - Archives
Maxwell - Ruins
Everyone else - Base Rush
What is base rush? You ask? Well get a Piggyback asap, and fill it entirely with Grass Tufts and Sapplings. 60 of each. Day 11 go to Glommer and transform Chester into Shadow Chester. Day 16 Build base and fertilize the tufts. Day 20 harvest tufts before winter and set small base next to MacTusk to farm for 3 Tusks per person (typically just me, also set MacTusk to Always so he respawns at the start of every new day, as I don't have to rely on a mactusk biome and just use the 1 guaranteed per world.

Winter Priorities: Locate Lunar Island, Search Sinkhole entrances, Fight Klaus, kill Deerclops (use Hostile Flare if with teammates for more eyes).

Spring: Establish Dragonfruit superiority, do whatever.

Summer: Get Desert Goggles, deal with Antlion, then Sail or Ruins.

Seeing Moon Quay rush did make me want to try that out. Would be very nice to acquire Monkey Tails early for Poultice or Shadow Armor.

Ive taken Dragonfly out of my routine as i find the furnace meh and his fight also meh so for the most part on a playyhru

-spawn

-prep for ruins

-ruins (at least 1 starcaller and kill Gaurdian)

-spend remaining autumn either

looking for ocean stuff (monkey island, moon island, barnacles my fave)

Starting up farming bc its neat.

 

 

I usually get the base crafting station runnung in autumn, then kill dfly on the 16th the latest. The rest of time I make at least 4 beee boxes for spring so I don't have to bother with getting fillers for the rest of the game. Then i start working on cc quest.

I seriously don't rush ANYTHING. In fact I sometimes intentionally choose the playstyle of not-being-allowed-to-leave-this-biome-patch-before-I-haven't-cleaned-the-whole-area. Even if this means turning into a ghost for the most ridiculous reasons.

Though....now that I think of it. I could change the playstyle for DST meaning the each time I turn into a ghost I should be forced to travel back to the flower portal to respawn, and then move on to the next biome....
