Any creative uses so far? There is potential.

( honestly so far I've only been stealing their hard earned collections of food :wilson_livid: *wilson tongue :P * Poor cute guys. I suppose they were actually meant to steal OUR stuff [from the trailer] and not the other way round. )

with the bootleg getaway you can teleport dens so setting up something like this is fairly simple and gets you a decent bottle supply + whatever the marotter dens pick up while unloaded

Whenever I see such beautifully constructed structures it feels so oddly overwhelmingly satisfying....

and then I look at the chaotic mess my own game / base / structures is:wilson_livid: (literally this facial expression looking at my own failure)

What yields do you receive when unloaded?

Also, can you make bait pens for marroters so that you can rummage in peace?

Basically from unloaded thin air?

Not sure of how this loot is generate tho kelp root seems to indicate is a unloaded thing since they can unroot kelp and i found dens with entire stacks of root and drift wood despite being in the opposite side of the world without being loaded for, atleast an entire year since the last time i haverst them

From the code provided by a friend:

local POSSIBLE_LOOT_ITEMS = {
    barnacle          = 1,
    boatpatch_kelp    = 1,
    bullkelp_root     = 1,
    driftwood_log     = 1,
    fishmeat          = 2,
    fishmeat_small    = 2,
    kelp              = 2,
    monstermeat       = 2,
    meat              = 2,
    smallmeat         = 2,
}

Big ones here for me are by far the bull kelp roots (which makes them realistically renewable), and driftwood.

Do keep in mind items inside spoil the moment when they are generated, so you’ll likely get rot/rotten small/large fish instead of the meat/fish meats.

I know someone who is in the works of making a marrotter farm video (farming them not other nobs). I would like to see what all they interact with, as stated above if they attack cookie cutters you can have a cookie shell farm, idk why you would need alot of those shells but sure.

I don't know maybe they can kill cookie cutters?

They can, but you never need that many of their drops. Also, you risk the cookie cutters destroying otter dens, which are better value since it's a source of kelp stalks. I had fewer than 20 dens before, but I'd get around 3-4 stalks whenever they filled up.

from my experience there's generally nothing but rot in the dens.

Not worth the effort.

nope

Because you didn't visited them in many time

I just got 8 kelp roots from 2 nest, last time i visited them was a season ago iirc.

Not bad if you ask me considering they were a little stop in the way of getting a sunken chest. 4 large meat, 4 morsels, some rotten fish and 8 kelp roots isnt a bad loot for such time expend. Is fun that sea has more distractions with not bad loot
