For Wigfrid, Its her downside. Its kinda weird it keeps getting undermined and compensated. I think it is fine for Warly though since its his thing to make special foods, and he is much weaker by himself. What do you think?

If she were to be able to eat it, i think it would be cool if it was a Warly dish so there is some synergy.

Just change it from being a “food”  to being a “Magical Runestone” and then it gives every character regardless of any type of “food related downsides” an excuse to be able to consume it.

Goodies exist

Tbh sucks when a character cant enjoy with certain parts of the content.  That is what made me drop wanda and become a warly main but also downside shoule matter

Wigfrid shouldn't eat it right away because a fruit isnt meat, neither mushrooms and they made her eat mushcake...,but they can add a meat recipe with non super avaraible ingredients so wigfrid and warly players feel the impact of a downside like koalephant trunk filled with the fruit, molebat nose or whatever

Reecitz even changed his loved reaction because of that

I was thinking about leafy meat since it's more thematic with her using "meat", but I guess it would be too easy since once you get a few on a boat you're set forever. As payoff though it probably should give your night vision way more duration.

At this point if they give it to her they may as well just remove her non meat downside as I'm beginning to think Wolfgang has the more impactful downside between them. Wigfrid's downside is she's a meat eater except when it's inconvenient to be one.

By the time you get a meaningful amount of berries, you probably have a better light source like the moggles

You can get moggles by the 1st autumn but what brings the fruit is freeing the head slot so you can wear clothing or do stuff like cleaning the ruins with dreadstone armor without wasting resources on protection

I know Wigfrid needs to have an impactful downside, and they have seriously shirked on it in a lot of areas(more than any other character, arguably?).

But I still think Wigfrid should have a way, even if convoluted, to get its effects. With post-rifts content some day coming, an evolution of a lot of game mechanics have been appearing. BiS armor, AOE spammy staffs, a range-planar weapon with good damage and is spammable, etc.

Having a light-source without dedicating a slot item, or playing drop hot-potato with a lantern is yet another evolution of various game mechanics, and having Wigfrid completely unable to utilize that makes it possible she will be less prepared when actual new content that is balanced around this new scaling is finally released. Possibly, you could make it a shadow-aligned food, and make her shadow affinity allow her to consume it, or just make a meat-dish with it.  You could even allow Warly, exclusively, to make a "all survivors" crock pot version of the berry, which would then allow Wigfrid to use it.

I dont think Wigfrid should be able to eat it, literally her only downside is that "she can only eat meat", which has become kind of a joke after changes letting her eat desserts etc.

On the other hand I think that for Warly it should count as small berry for the glow berry mousse. It would be a nice alternative from spending time searching for worms or small berries (Which I think dont even show up on the minimap)...

Moggles come much before berries. Berries free up head slot.

Star caller is still better unless you nees to run across the entire map for some reason

So you cast a star each screen you cross while cleaning the ruins? I think that reading the comment you answere is good for a proper communication

Nobody is going to wait a bunch of days for that though. Warly should just have his own dish.

Really don't see the point of giving Warly a redundant dish, just so that warly players can engage the ancient trees

He already has a hands-free, head-free, edible light source

As for Wigfrid, I mean, obviously she shouldn't be able to eat the Nightberry, she shouldn't be even able to eat goodies and giving her that ability was a bad decision

Yeah I'm not a fan that they keep doing this to Wig.

Everyone should be able to eat it because it is another thing to do in late game and it would be bad If some characters can't eat it and miss out. Imagine how it would feel for Wigfrid and Warly mains that can only use gem tree and would they even want to gather them If so many of the trees will be nightberry? If jellybeans is a goodie, why shouldn't nightberry be?
