Where is the lunar hail part? Klei devs mentioned would do it in this patch. Is it scheduled to be patched, right? Please...
This part is what I am most worried about and looking forward to, and I hope it gets patched well. Personally, I wish they would add roof or shade structures, but planting fig trees in pots wouldn't be a bad idea either. To differentiate them from existing ocean fig trees, they could be a bit smaller in a bonsai form.

I think that this is a little too big to be in the "QoL" part of this skill tree update.

do you know if there's a mod to show this? thanks

the good and old geometric placement, place the teleport base in the middle of the tile and all of the other on a equal number away from the tile, so in theory, you go to the main (the one in the certer) teleport base, and walk one step towards the base that you want and teleport.

This way you will be in the same base(which removes it from the elegible ones) and it will bring you to the closest one (be it: up, down, right or left).

I’m not sure exactly what is your hoping for but I was under the Impression that future content updates would make the Lunar Hail have or do more effects to the game world (like how acid rain blocks of ponds with clogs of Nitre in caves and boosts the bats)

Catapults can now be manually armed by other characters.  They will have no skill upgrades, and will only be able to fire basic rocks.  (Note that Winona can still send commands to them, which will automatically upgrade them back to her level.)

I see.

Teletransport Stations now have unlimited range.

Damn thats nice! I have been testing it for a while and although the short range had some utilities ( tp between farms to save some time, tp to other isles, etc) it was basically a one-way tp and you had to do some weird shenanigans when you had 2+ in a same range.

I dont like this change, (personally I think Winona should have exclusive use of catapults, just like every other non-switch character has their exclusive use of their own things), but I think its a fair change. My main issue with the "public" catapults is that it would have been essentially giving away 6+ free perks to every other character, so giving the basic catapults to the rest seems like a decent middle ground, but lets see how it works for her as a character

Enlightened Strike now destroys workable things (excluding walls and structures).

This is like Wagstaff's Thumper, awesome addition!

People seem pretty happy with Winona now.

Rip Winona the forever swap character

I think there's room for true Winona mains to emerge now. For extremely long term worlds that pass about day 1000, Almost every character is a switch character.
I constantly see the veterans in my local area and in singapore when it's past day 1000, they're never usually the same character. They main "The Game" and switch to and from depending on a job they want to do, but ultimately,  a lot of them end with Maxwell.

For shorter games, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Winonas come around. She's quite a force at the moment. Pre elding 2 Wigfrid, Winona is far more powerful and safe a pick than she is.

I can kind of predict her gameplay loop at the moment, and Winona seems promising to those who will main her. The cool thing about Winona is that she'll be a rewarding character for players who simply "play" the same way we all did at the very beginning, and still do, but in a second nature way.
Winona mains can live simply by mining, chopping, crafting and problem solving.

I don't think she'll be strictly a switch character. There are 100% rewards for playing her every day and not switching.
She's rewarded daily for hunting the cache, Charlie's rose, having exclusive use of the teleporters, which is something I am bitter about, as fast travel is so important, but all that gives people who like Winona a reason to use her.
I'm not a Winona main, but I think I'll be spending a lot of time as Winona in my world because there are things she can do no other characters can dream to.

Tl;dr, Every character has the capacity to be a switch character.

p.s. Wilson got done dirty

May be Winonas Shadow path should have some benefits in caves. at least do not lose them compared to surface.

suggestion: let us chose big tentacles paths

suggestion: let death roses do not wither in caves

would be nice be able to build vine bridges across void

suggestion: better earthquake for shadow path. (may be better loot may be it does not drop on to your face so hard and frequent)

suggestion: less shadow creatures agro at lunar grotto

suggestion: let fuelweavers flower be special (fragile) for any character. (or for any who has shadow affinity)

suggestion: let us use rose to teleport back so we do not have to eat red caps

Being useful in one niche in the narrow range when you have the map explored but not until Wanda has experienced one winter is kind of extremely lame when Wanda is still extremely good during earlygame.

On the one hand Wortox is useful immediately and can rush things. On the other hand he has a big downside compared to Winona.

usually more than 1 winter if multiplayer or no triple mactusk, might be better to ask for buffs for wortox instead of removal of teleportation from other characters

Do people just forget that there are several other ways besides waiting till winter to get a Tusk? I can have one before Winter even starts.. The real question though is “How many Wanda mains actually engage with Ocean content to go out and get them?”

Is not a special character.  Is a status effect for the character you are playing

You dont seeing her gameplay potential and fun doesnt mean everybody would be as blind as you.

You already showed how "different " you see things so dont worry, there will be plenty of people enjoying winona's gameplay like there are Warly's mains or wormwood's experience non farming content

Did you start a world of Wanda? I do.

My priorities in the first 20 days are: build Shadow Manipulator (Alarming Clock + Night Armor), start taming beefalo until day 6, go down to the ruins (Thulecite Fragments and all other resources), defeat the Anciet Guardian, create the glasses of night vision to try to locate the Atrium from the edge (if the world map helps), locate the Oasis etc, make the Beefalo Hat (Wanda has an extreme punishment for cold and heat) etc.

Do you think that with so many important things to do you have time in those 20 days to look for bottles? and what's the point of having a Walking Cane if you can't get Deconstruction Staff?

Wanda is not a simple character to play. For this reason, when Wanda was still considered a good character, many players only started worlds with Wolfgang and then on day 150 they switched to Wanda. Of course, this only happened with the old version of Wolfgang (there was no rework yet), as today it doesn't even make sense to use Wanda for those who focus on megabases.

Against the background, for example, of the same Wurt and Winona, Wormwood's skill tree looks very simple, because to restore the HP of Wurt, you only need to get wet, and wait for Wormwood to bloom and only during the day, although  a little more than Wurth

Just like Wurt's ability to pick up mosquitoes simply with his hands, Wormwood also needs this, at least to pick up butterflies, not to mention the foraging bees that ignore the existence of flowers next to blooming Wormwood.

Then why does he have his own favorite food and not the favorite food of the character you played
Also a monkey you are, to the forest you must go

Because monkeys like bananas? This still doesn't change the fact that wonkey is not a character but a state of being
