On the topic of Wanda and Wortox comparison, I just want to point out two things:

1. Characters dynamics are different if you think of multiplayer

2. Both character have yet a skill tree.

and both have a habit of "helping" the suicidal teammates... With Wanda reviving them constantly and Wortox delaying their inevitable demise...

Please, please, please tell me those rose bushes are a mod

Cause I will hug my bramble traps and cry.

Nope, but they require 6(or maybe 9 due to generator talent) talents of Winona to work on this scale and vanish under 5 min or so.

If by talents you mean skill points then that's nothing given you're getting other things along the way.

And 5min is a lot more than the 4-5 uses you get out of one bramble trap.

I was afraid of this... Same problem as reworks where character changes get progressively more complex compared to the first few they start with.

*Sigh*

Winona didn't really need this imo.

Makes me think back to how Woodie has to lock into the a were mastery of the beaver to do his aoe slap but Winona can do similar without committing...

It's kinda the result of people saying balance doesn't matter though.

Nah It's fine. We only need another set of character updates and 7 more years to make everyone as equally powerfull as possible. I personally can't wait for Wigfrid spellcast ability.:encouragement:

I swear to god if klei decides to start another wave of character reworks I'm going to pull my hair out. I'm pretty patient with stuff but man this is starting to get annoying like no progress with anything but characters repeating on and on

i don't really think being complex is bad, especially if its on optional characters.

I don't have an issue with it balanced wise. Winona is a crowd control centric character. Her catapults do more damage then the rose bushes by the looks of it.

My issue is.. why. This feels tacked on, out of place, unnecessary fluff.

It's a similar issue with the addition of Wx-78's reflective armor modules. Why.

Stepping on the toe thematically of other characters because... They're running out of ideas?

Roses aren't even a Winona thing, they're a Charlie thing. And they used to be a cute nod to her sister. But now it's a full on ability. Kinda a strange direction to go into idk.

I think there should be a line, or we'll end up with everyone being a spell casting, half cyborg with plant minions.

I mean it's not any different from the telebrella being a straight upgrade to Wortox and Wanda's teleport. Could even be argued there's even less of a reason for it being Winona exclusive considering the survivors haven't really had issues building or using his stuff in the past but I'm not really trying to make that argument. Though now that I think about it kinda shocked the Wagstaff armor doesn't have a Winona exclusive upgrade like Wormwood with lunar.

Almost as if a popular Chinese publisher bought them out and are now demanding that they incorporate popular Chinese mods into the core gameplay? Nah… that can’t be what’s happening. :wilson_cry:

Wormwood teleport ability when

You get a teleport, I get a teleport, EVERYONE DO THE TELEPORT

or no wait... Only the newer skill tree characters get to do the stuff the previous characters could do.

And minions, everyone gets a minion!
