A throwback to last year's contest, when my submission.. was rejected on account of "stolen art", heh (I wonder how many other "false positives" there were) - a screenshot of the camp I made at that time on some random Endless pub, in a Stalagmite Terrain biome; aka fun Hallowed Nights spelunking times:

Yes, I know most likely my text-effect Ps insert was the disqualifying, yet writing in-game with decorative elements occupied most space and took all focus from the picture's centerpieces.

All you guys are making me wish I could draw...or rather, that I could draw specific characters _quickly_. When I try that with Don't Starve characters, you get stuff like this:

This was meant to have an "everything is on fire"/This is Fine bit on the other half, but I never finished it. (It's only Day 26 because Spring start, lol.)

Or this:

My "Captain Chaotica" character explaining how not to get hurt by catctus in DS/T. It makes PERFECT sense! Just put on the helmet and grab the cactus with your bare hands, you'll be fine!

And when I take enough time to actually finish a DS/T related picture, you get this:

...which is better, but still nowhere near the smooth gorgeousness that other people in this thread are doing. Le sigh.
(also spoilered because it's not Halloweeny. Note that I gave Willow a watering can WAY before those existed in the game.)

And, since we're sorta on the subject of AI, I can't resist throwing this in. No, it's not AI-generated art. It's art that was _inspired_ by something an AI did.  You see, years ago, someone started a thread on these forums where they used a program called "Talk to Transformer" (which I believe eventually became...AI Dungeon? I don't _think_ it's ChatGPT...) and gave it a Don't Starve Together prompt, then told it to write an "update notes" for the game.

It came up with, among other things, a new character named Witherbloom, an "evil fairy" who would "steal your farms". Not the crops OUT of the farm, mind you. The entire farm. (This was before the farming re-do though, so we're talkin' those individual plots with fences around 'em from Ye Olden Days.)
My reaction to this was "Wait, I just saw a Dark Fairy dollmaker a few days ago! Hang on!" and since you _can't_ delete your old pictures here, I...still have the results.

Regular Witherbloom. Notice she's in kind of a rotty fall birch forest/swamp biome here, with rain. I even put green caps. Guess it must be dusk. :P

Roseate Witherbloom (who has taken over Glommer's Flower, lol) and, my favourite:

TRIUMPHANT. Badassest fairy EVER. XD

And so ends the tale of Witherbloom, the AI-inspired AU "new character" of 2018, who never actually happened.
(but you could argue that Wormwood has some similar traits.)

Not an actual DS/T character, but Dark Fairies are _kinda_ Halloweeny and come on, when else am I gonna have even a slight excuse to show these off? :P

I went out for real-life Hallowed Nights, and I'd like to say I went as a Don't Starve/Together character, but no, I put together a makeshift modern-version "Wednesday" costume at the last second (which is still Don't Starve _adjacent_, of course) and walked around the local mall, which was having an indoor trick-or-treat event and therefore there were other people in costumes. It's been super-cold here lately, so I was glad to be (a) indoors and (b) wearing a costume that included layers.

Then I went home, and as soon as I saw my catcoon (pictured below)

and told him how adorable he was, he immediately tried to eat my braid.

Because yes. :P

The Flying Horrors are here!

Once hell freezes over, the Endothermic Dragonfly must abandon it's magma pools and wander the map, freezing whatever it crosses with it's icy claws.

Right behind it, Glass Beequeen is flying on the coldest winds to find a new spot for a better kingdom for herself alone- made entirely of moonglass.

And Malbatross, wings frozen stiff by the Lunar activity already, will not dive back into the water in fear of becoming a giant glass statue.

A collab between me, RenemArt and Hoirima, since it kind of became a tradition from the first Halloween Art Event.

(claps hands) Ohmygoddess, those are GORGEOUS! I especially love the idea of an Endothermic Dragonfly. That's an intriguing alternate universe idea, right there. And "Glass Bee-Queen" works too, since there are actual insects named things like "Glasswing butterfly" (and for good reason):
