If there is no announcement of the stream today, then you should not wait for beta this week...

Inb4 they forgot again and we get another shadow drop

To be clear, the most recent info we have is:

The beta for our next update is coming in just a few weeks. I don't have any news on that just yet, but we should have something for you relatively soon.

That was 3 weeks ago. I think tomorrow is most likely, otherwise it will have been a month since that declaration, not a few weeks.

Twas a joke

It's unlikely we get one tomorrow but possible considering the year being nearly over as is.

No I just disagree about it being unlikely tommorow. "Few" to me is a 2-3 week range, which will be exceeded tomorrow. If the beta was next couple of weeks I feel like they would've said "sometime next month"

He kind of is in a bad place. his long teleport is bad compared to Wanda, Winona, and a boot.

It doesn't require prior setup at a given location. This would be the clear best choice if it were Wilson collecting souls for the sole purpose of teleportation.

The only issue is Wortox's downsides also relying on the same thing.

I take it there hasn't been any mention of a beta yet

The last update we got was on ~25th October, the hallowed nights intermission, saying:

Based on that it's probably this week IMO, we'll find out in ~10 hours.

I forgot, but how long do betas usually stay in beta? I hope I will be safe from having to update my mod's files until at least half of inside december ^^"

(apart from that I am for once looking forward to the update to see if some weird spawn glitch my mod's new code that didn't happen before showed after the halloween update will be gone)

Usually betas last around 3 weeks.

iirc, we've had betas last a week, and betas last a month. Depends on how much stuff they want to change after getting feedback.

In that case I for once hope for a RICH update that accidently causes lots of requests to fix and change stuff feedback ^^' *for totally not selfish reasons. I just need some time to prepare*

don't we usually get beta preview streams before beta updates?

if anything, maybe a rhymes with play beta preview stream could happen today

If that was the case they would've announced it tuesday or yesterday prior to streaming it.

não costumamos ter transmissões de pré-visualização beta antes das atualizações beta?

se alguma coisa, talvez uma transmissão de pré-visualização do beta do Rimas com o jogo pudesse acontecer hoje

I base myself on the devs' live playing the dst beta and today a live of the Rotwood beta was announced, I believe there won't be 2 lives, and that's why I think the dst beta will only be next week ;-;

That's usually more an estimate than a promise personally I don't mind if they take their time with these trees

As long as they get the beta to PC and have that beta remain on PC long enough to get proper bug fixes and feedback while simultaneously at the exact same time still being able to deliver said update within the games Roadmap (& preferably giving us console players a meaty update to play throughout the holiday season.. before they take their leave for vacations) I can really care less how long it takes.

But, from my point of view the game seems to be “Dying Down” in content updates. This years Roadmap only contained 4 updates spread throughout the entire year.

And I guess if you work at Klei your probably feeling exhausted, and you feel like you’ve been working on DST for FOREVER so it is “okay” to slow down and do fewer updates.

But then again.. from my point of view: the game literally JUST released on Nintendo Switch, And will sometime Soonish** Release to a brand new Mobile Audience through Netflix games.

It doesn’t make Sense to do less updates, or let the game feel like support for it is “Dying” when atleast for Switch & Mobile: Support Just begun.

All From Beyond and Skill Spotlight updates have been 3 weeks in beta, except Terrors Below (2 weeks).

We had Content Update Preview streams 1 or 2 weeks before the beta, but sometimes also at the same day of the beta (Depths of Duplicity).

I mean, they slowed down because people were complaining they are rushing things and making the updates less fleshed-out because of it.

We get 4 larger updates.

I think the main reason for that is that there's too many considerations needed when planning these updates specifically because dst has been going for so long. The new content needs to avoid breaking the lore and avoid breaking the early game loop and this isn't helped by the fact there seems to be a backlash to anything they try to release.
