lmao. is anyone else crashing from hitting winged blight?

I'm crashing from hitting winged blight. I suppose my world with be tatterless when the update drops. No hotfixes, no address to the falling boulders during quakes. Nothing.
We're in the dark, fellow survivors. 

Anyway, who else is having a game/server crash from hitting the winged inkblight? 
It's becoming very clear that activating this event is not going to be worth it whatsoever.

And before anyone asks, all mods are off.

Maybe it's a conspiracy against me creating an alt account to shill how good this update is and how the boulders should be on fire in the underground.

You can find server log and client log under "documents/klei/donotstarvetogether/". Note that if you start the game again a new server log would rewrite the original, and the original would be placed in "backup" folder.

I don't know if this is it or if this even helps. 

We're in the dark when it comes to this update in the first place. To be honest, I'm the only person on the entirety of the planet this is happening to and I believe that I am Klei's #1 most hated player right now because of the creative way I criticized the entire update

Yes. Your behaviour is unclear. This is the first update of the beta and it will work like that. If you really want constructive feedback and for them to fix it, post it on the Bugs and Glitches section of the forum.

My holy brother in Alter, it has been two work days. (In the foreign land of Canada, they in fact, do not work on weekends :p)

This is fairly standard, beta releases, a few work days after the fact we start getting patches rolling in as the developers examine bug reports, analyze feedback, potentially add last remaining bits of new content, get the update passed by consoles, etc etc.

I havent heard of anyone else crashing from the Ink Blights either, but feel free to drop a report on the bug tracker as always! The developers can not locate every single edge case on their own in such a massively mechanically interactive game.

I would guess we'll be getting a small patch today addressing some small things.

Well, before you've come to their defense, I've heard countless queries over how we haven't even gotten a hotfix. Also bug tracker is inundated and it's a problem no one else is having. 
I'll humor all of you and put it on the bug tracker, but if I'm the only one, I doubt it'll be fixed.

That's why I put out this post in the first place. because if I'm the only one, I'm just the broken eggs in the omelette

A 'Disconnected From Server' prompt generally means the server has crashed, thus forcing the client to disconnect.

You can find your server files in the DoNotStarveTogetherBeta folder in Documents/Klei, and in either that folder or a folder with a number for its name you'll find folders named "Cluster_#". These are your different servers.

After the crash on the server occurs, you can find the two server logs in the Forest and Caves worlds within this cluster server to post. Reminder that these logs reset whenever the server opens up, so you'll need to grab the log shortly after crashing.

I believe the Host Screen in-game also allows you to click a button on a save slot to go directly to its cluster folder as a shortcut.

Upload those and the issue should be much more diagnosable, cheers!

It's usual for unstable betas to crash and be... unstable.

It's also standard practice for developers to take their time with fixing and pushing hotfixes and patches, rushing one could include more bugs than originally sought to fix. It's normal for these things to take time.
Multiple bugs have already been fixed, at that, it's just that they're taking their time before the hotfix goes to us. Live.

I don't expect Klei to say anything until they are pushing a patch with whatever their response is.  Klei is very smart about when, how, and how often they post on the forums.  They will post eventually, I expect in the next 2-3 days we'll start getting some updates from them adjusting things.  This is a beta and Klei does have a good track record of taking the feedback on the forums into account.  We know where we're at, but we don't know where we're going yet.  Levels of trust in Klei are variable, but I do believe they will do something to answer to our comments.

If you're experiencing an issue, decent chance other people are too even if they haven't vocalized the problem. But this isn't a really constructive way to give feedback. Plenty of people have issues with the current update, give the devs a little time work on some solutions.
