[Suggestion] Unseen Hands should be prioritised over the Ancient Fuelweaver when attacking

I’ve fought the Ancient Fuelweaver a few times and sometimes he overlaps with his Unseen Hands, and the attack prompt prioritises him even though he’s invincible at that stage. It’s incredibly frustrating as you then have to lead him away a nontrivial distance to hit the Unseen Hand, during which time he can put you in a bone cage and all the while continue the countdown to his next summoning of the Woven Shadows. 
 

You already have to micromanage so much in this fight and this is just frustrating, seconds matter so much in this fight and losing a few to such a trivial game mechanic feels awful.

Hard agree. The way fuelweaver is prioritized when he's 10 feet away when theres a hand/shield protector right in front of you drives me insane. 

Even when you press L3 to switch to another target, it just doesnt want to switch for some reason from fuelweaver. Basicly makes Having Aoe attacks (weather pain, seed shells, etc) mandatory, even with a 5 man squad because the game wont let you target anything but fuelweaver

I still to this day, never fought him legitimately! I refuse to spend time and resources to a boss that wasn't designed to be fought with a controller!! Kudos to everyone who managed to beat him though!

Hopefully one day, same with AG, he will be reworked and I'll for once try to do it without any cheese :>.

Ancient Fuelweaver really shows how bad the Weather Pain too, I could manage not being able to hit his hand, but the Woven Shadow!! Another story!

Yeah console really needs some love. I’ve taken to setting up catapults for the fight so I can ignore the shadows and not bother with the janky weather pains.

The boss fight is painful even on mouse & keyboard. The attack button prioritises Fuelweaver over Woven Shadows, although at least we can kill Unseen Hands. The boss needs QOL for every platform in general but I think console needs it especially.

This is the thing that makes fighting the fuelweaver so unbearable on console. If the fuelweaver was simply unattackable during his invincible phase, it would make the fight worth it. Trying to hit the shadow bug guys or the unseen hands while he is invincible is frustrating. Each time you try to attack one of the little bugs, you select the fuelweaver and just bounce right off of him.

I have fought him legitimately with 3 players in a later stage world with relative ease. Two players in a late stage world with lots of gear is also doable. 

One player and you're using gunpowder and rollbacks, regardless of how advanced your world is. 

+1.. such a frustrating fight to try 'fair' . Out of all the suggestions over the years I think this one would solve the most problems. There'd still be the weather pain issue that I don't see any easy solution too, but it would be an improvement

If the fuelweaver were unattackable during his invincible phase, you wouldn't even need a weather pain. You could beat the little bug guys as they came out of the ground and be ok. The use of the weather pain is only needed because it is near impossible to hit even a small fraction of the healing bug things... in my opinion :)

it would definitely help, maybe. The new brightshade staff might be a good option to replace the WP in this fight, but I am yet to test it. It sounds good on paper tho.

Can confirm Brightshade staff is a game changer for this fight. Even makes it easily possible solo.

Can also confirm. You can even use them on the hands for his shield provided youre insane.
