Angler’s Survival Guide could use a limit too

To anyone whos at the point of the game where they can make a setup like that, food has long stopped being a survival aspect. How is that not obvious..? 

A  nerf to the fishbook is not gonna make survival or food acquisition harder for anyone whos at the point where they can make a set up like that. Its only going to negatively impact the ability to use the book without that setup in the early game. Like a modest couple of ocean trawlers etc etc

There r countless different ways to stockpile a similar amount of food, finally its possible to do it with ocean fish, a niche food source, and now it should be nerfed cuz lakhnish made an insanely late game sandbox setup? 
 

Extreme food stockpiling is a meme.

For anyone other than newbies the game throws more food at you from just playing than you’ll know what to do with.

While I don't think this book needs to be touched at all couldn't you at least take Ohan's and some other people's approach to these topics and actually go into why you don't support the idea rather than shutting down people for having a opinion you don't agree with.

Too much power spoils. Imo she has too much power, she can do job with everything in game.

Food? Read a book one or another. Boss? Read other book, just dont step on hentai. Light? Read a book. Hounds? Read a book and eventually don't step on hentai.

Power is boring, y'know? That might be a reason as well. Not everybody wants to play Wes, not everybody will play Wicker, because extremes are usually as not so much fun, as something in middle.

Saying that wicker is an extreme is overstatement, ask anyone who does not play wicker and their reason for not picking her isnt "cuz she is too op"

Like, I don't even personally think the book should get changed, I think it's fairly reasonable in power actually, but geez.

Thats kind of the whole crux of the character yeah. Aside from (easily) starting/stopping rain u didnt list anything that any other survivor cant do in a different way, with different resources/costs. For Wickerbottom the solutions to the game’s problems are her books. For Wanda its her alarming and other clocks. For Warly its his dishes, for Wendy its Abigail. etcetera. 

Survivors are fun precisely when they each have their own unique way to solve the mundane problems of the game. You’re acting like thats a problem or detriment or an unprecedented new addition to the game.

Im gonna stop you right there, wickerbottom has rediculous sanity problems, and the new sanity monster on low sanity read is BRUTAL. Most bosses wont be beat by the hentai, and the ones that can are just as easily cheesed with other methods. 

also i would never reccomend using the tentacles for hounds you’re more likely to kill yourself. Also a lantern exists for light early game, and starcaller exists for mid-lategame, both are stronger the book is an alternative.

the temperature book is neat, but weak, the rain book is admittedly pretty cool, but just wear a hat to solve the rain permanently, pigmen and bunnys literally exist for minions and are stronger, and for farming you can literally just hoe gigantic fields if you want farm crops on demand, you can literally automate them except for sowing, watering and harvesting. 
 

she literally only provides alternatives to what already exists, they’re powerful and on demand alternatives, but they’re just that, alternatives. The only things she really does thats super unique rn is the rain book, hentai, full moon, and silviculture.

Please keep replies polite and constructive. The forums are for feedback, good and bad. When people get completely shut down by others it kills conversation and really gets things messy. 

We need an accurate representation of feedback so we can decide where we want to go. Slamming people because you don't want something changed, or because you disagree isn't helping that at all. 

It's important to see both sides of a concern, so I am not suggesting that you do not share those opinions, so please...

To be fair the fault's generously on me, I can't explain what I think of in other ways than I do, I try to be precise and careful but I seem to offend in way I'd never expect it to be a problem to someone experience. So I apologize for the slightly growing giving up feeling I might have but it's just that if I can't give any feedback without someone and not just myself getting nitpicked without manners I'd rather just not pull the effort again despite it's something I want to be invested into. I've got a background into DST that's maybe out of the general interest anymore but almost no middle-ground is impossible to achieve so I hope everyone is ready to improve on it as much as I'd like to keep playing the same game as everyone else in the end.

I am sorry for harping on you as well, i was just disagreeing with you. Its fine if you believe that wickerbottom is a little too powerful. Its a perfectly valid point of view, i just don’t feel the same. But i should have left well enough alone or deleted my post after i saw that someone had said what i was intended to say before me
