Crafting window expansion

So... Y'all know that all crafting recipes have at max 3 items in it, because if you'll try to make four or more, this will happen:

What do you think about it? Should it be made dynamical to resize itself accordingly to items amount, or three items are fine? Imo this will help modders to make bigger recipes to look better, and some recipes could be adjusted to look more logical (Like insulated pack and ice flingomatic, which get their frames out of nowhere, if you look at them)

This is a problem that's been around for years for modders. I don't imagine Klei changing it unless they add an item that does it.

I also feel this is why construction kits were introduced like the Merm King carpet and the celestial portal.

I think the problem is those mods, not the game. Klei's done fine with everything with only three items to craft something, if something needs more than three items it uses intermediary items like electrical doodads. They don't need huge complex recipes for no reason.

I mean, just look at that example picture you've given. Three glass cutters, two enlightened crown shards, two red moonlenses, and two green moonlenses? The only thing more ridiculous than that recipe, I assume, is what's going to happen once you create it.

Absolutely agree with what you said! I really really despise when there's crafting recipes in mods with more than 3 ingredients. It tells me the modder really couldn't bother to think of a more well-designed and suited recipe, and thought just putting a bunch of "expensive" materials would be sufficient.

Spoiler

Thank God it's nothing like what mods in other games have done though..
