Why is my generator angry?

Recommended Posts

Lol, that`s strange. Most likely it`s caused by a dupe lashing out that damaged it in anger. I think they can`t repair it until the dupe chills (althrough i thought they could do it). For some reason it shows the generator as being angry not the dupe. At least it seems so.

I`m not entire sure if that`s the case. I don`t have dupes lashing out too often.

I agree with most of what you said, thou when they have finished lashing out and go back to work the generator is still angry. I normally don't have stressed dupes but I kind of stuffed 2 in a rocket and ditched them at a new planet, so they haven't been happy with me should have skill scrubbed them sooner.

I only noticed something was wrong when they hadn't fixed the generator after a few cycles, started laughing when I saw it was angry.

I clearly see that generator is broken, why do you call it angry? And it is as people said dupes got stressed, broked the generator and did not repair it. And will not repair until stress drops down to 60% or less. And about errands is what it is saying. Dupe "Meep" or "Banhi", has errand to repair "manual generator", but they are too angry to do it. Learn to read signs and what's not written... There is tons of text in the game already to make it more complex in errands description is that what you wish for?

Shuffling around the order of the task verbiage can actually make it easier to know if Meep and Banhi are too angry to do anything. There's no need to read between lines.

Until then the generator is too angry and will hurt users until it's happy again. Some dupe should "WD-petro" the thing and give it a shoulder rub. I will believe in its hopes and dreams that it will spin again some day.

If you look closely at the "available errands" tab, you will find that the generator itself is clearly too angry to be interacted with.

I really don't know why you're bringing the dupes' feelings into this. They are obviously irrelevant.

Wow why so aggressive??? Like really. I was making a simple comment that the states effect of the generator was that it was angry. If anything this a is a simple bug as it should say the dupe is too angry, not the generator. I also saw the same status effect applied to a farm tile, again it said farm tile too angry.

"Learn to read signs and what's not written" Yea I do that thanks for a unfriendly passive aggressive advice. Just thought that it was odd i hadn't noticed this after over 5000 hours. Hardly ever get angry dupes, should have scrubbed them before dropping off or used rovers to build some simple infrastructure.
