QuartzBeam
I figured this would be a good time to bring up that Moonrock Walls are ridiculously expensive for no good reason. Well, they do have higher durability and PvP armor, but most players do not even touch PvP and those who do are unlikely to bother with walls anyway. At the end of the day, Moonrock Walls do nothing you can't already do with other, way cheaper walls. The higher durability is hardly relevant as the primary use of walls is decoration not defense. So why do we need a whopping 12 moon rocks to craft a measly 4 moonrock walls? Moon Rocks themselves are not the most abundant of materials and being able to only make 0.33 walls per moonrock compared to the 1:1 ratio of stone and thulecite walls is just... excessive. The world would be a much better place if players could craft 6 Moon Rock Walls out of 6 Moon Rocks. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk. Juny Pear
Not to mention that due to the walls being so sturdy, even for hammering, breaking or relocating walls takes ages. This is what I get the least about them because even when you do use walls to block off something, all it takes is for a single one to be broken or missing in order to render all other ones as practically pointless. Unless you double them up or make several rooms that is, but that would take SO many walls it'd be a bit ridiculous. Also you wouldnt be able to have a fence gate unless you want an even easier entrypoint for unwanted players or entities Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/134151-can-we-please-get-reasonably-priced-moonrock-walls/#findComment-1501027 Share on other sites
ArubaroBeefalo
i hate that you dont recover the cost of each wall when hammered like stone walls Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/134151-can-we-please-get-reasonably-priced-moonrock-walls/#findComment-1501043 Share on other sites
SadeceAtakan
Moonrock Walls are awful in every aspect. In addition to the other comments, they look horrendous without skins. Also, if you place one on a wrong spot, sucks to be you, now you need to hammer it 25 times to get a single moonrock back. They are in the DST since forever and they need some improvement. Frosty_Mentos
For some reason they take 25% less damage by players themselves. Reasons? I wonder if gunpowder/slurtle slime would work here. Less accurate method with collateral damage (antlion, bearger, rook) certainly would On 10/2/2021 at 2:59 PM, QuartzBeam said: Moon Rocks themselves are not the most abundant of materials Spoiler Still, I do agree that from a practical standpoint, there's no use to moonrock (or thulecite) walls other than opulence, at which point the cost and hassle of moon walls is just too much. (I don't bother with decoration to begin with, and only use rock walls on the surface, and wood walls in caves; I might use hay walls/fences in a pinch) I do recall a mod that added a glow to moonrock walls - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=482313412 - wouldn't mind if that was a thing, to make the wall more distinct and/or justify the cost. I don't know... while this would be pretty neat as an idea I feel that it wouldn't really justify it much at all, it'd still be almost purely decorational while still being extremely expensive in terms of how much moonrock is needed for how many walls we get out of it. Notecja
I would love moonrock walls cheaper. Usually because of their price I dont bother with them.
