I dunno, the overgrown skins look really good in a Wormwood base and the victorian ones rather suit Wendy's tastes. For me this mostly applies to base aesthetics, though. I use the Buckled Backpack rather than any of the mob ones.

Because characters look different and have different personalities. For this specifically it would probably be because Warly can make volt goat chaud froid so he would like the little nod to it in his backpack skin, but he could just think a volt goat skin would look good on Warly's sprite.
